CaledonianGonzo
When Madonna's good she's ruddy great. If she brought the hits she'd level the place.
ICGenie
Her Ray Of Light era was her peak, for me. That was a stunning album. It's good, about four songs too long though. American Life, Confessions and MDNA are all better IMO. Slightly confused that people didn't like MDNA. The singles weren't the best choices but the album itself is bloody brilliant. willutalk
Don't know much Madonna, well I probably do but I don't know that I do. I think she'd be pretty fab, and I'm a 17 year old, second-row rugby player. I think the spectacle of her show seems electric, have seen her in videos and she really delivers a performance. Could be a solid headliner. Edited December 2, 2014 by willutalk

ltfckimbo
She mimes a lot, doesn't she? Or does that not matter? I suppose not to many, especially those who will flatly deny she is miming. Edited December 3, 2014 by ltfckimbo
Thearg
I don't think Madge will go down at all well, she's not current, her songs to me growing up were just the usual pop drivel. Maybe one day she might be ironic enough to do a legend slot, hopefully that's a long way off,way way off.
Bisque
She could bring along LMFAO, Nicki Minaj, MIA & Cee Lo (unlikely). Doesn't sound like miming, but a backing track. Edit: actually not so sure. Edit 2: yeah she's lip syncing the fake Brit cow Edited December 3, 2014 by Couchy
bocumaroy
Is you on crack or somethin'? It's more that I really like her and she has lots of songs that I love, and so would enjoy seeing them performed live (if she does lip-sync a lot, then that's less than ideal, but I'd still probably be there) at Glastonbury festival. Could be the crack, though, I suppose. Although 'perfect' definitely assumes a set packed with the hits, as others have mentioned.
Anarion
How dare women grow old. I don't have anything against anyone growing old, but nothing grinds my gears more than grown ups behaving like 12 year olds.

ICGenie
That Like A Prayer was quite good, I'll give you that much. Like A Prayer is ok, got some pretty dud songs on there though (Til Death Us Do Part and Jessie to name two). I do wonder how many people who say they love Like A Prayer have actually listened to the whole album... With regards to miming - she does have a backing track for the more energetic parts of her performance but she also always sings most of her shows live. And she ain't too shabby at it either. I can't believe anyone who has any instinct on pop music can think Confessions is anything less than brilliant. It's the most consistent record she's released, not a dud song on it. FuzzyDunlop
Like A Prayer is ok, got some pretty dud songs on there though (Til Death Us Do Part and Jessie to name two). Dear Jessie is the first single I pestered my parents to buy me and they did. Looking at when it came out I was only 5. Still not sure that makes it right. The first one I bought with my own pocket money was the KLF - Justified and Ancient. I'd say that is more acceptable

russycarps
Fuck Off with your 'not current' shit man, you've been watching too much X Factor She was shit then, and is shit now. Badlands
She was shit then, and is shit now. And comes across as an awful human being to boot. She'd be a loathsome headliner. I was referring to the comment rather than the opinion. Aye, she seems a bit of a dick but she'd hardly be the first headliner to display egotistical tendencies. It would never happen anyway, and even if it did she'd never do a greatest hits set.
russycarps
Russy, if she played the hits she'd smash it out of the park. And would probably be one that everyone talks about for years to come. Not for me at all but it'd be a great booking. That's bollocks though because "the hits" are a load of shite. It would be talked about as much as beyonce is, who also played "the hits". These sorts of acts arent capable of putting on legendary gigs because their music is in fact a load of frothy shit. I cant believe the music scene is so sparse we are now looking to the 80s for headliners!
Daniel Comino Royuela
Read somewhere that the big name Pinkpop is throughing on the 8/12 could be Paul McCartney... ... could he ending up being one of Glastos headliners?
Amy Lawn
We established long ago that if we ruled out terrible human beings on the line-up then the festival would have to fold.
