I have to say - I have no idea at all, not even an educated guess at the moment apart from Elton John and I refuse to allow myself to think it will be him as my ears would bleed at the thought.

If Metallica can get around it though then I'm sure Fleetwood Mac can. I was sure it was going to be Fleetwood Mac, Foo Fighters and then somebody else? Intriguing.

Neither Eavis or Metallica said anything about Metallica before they headlined and were only a back up, and to get around it they had to wait extremely late to announce it, and Sonisphere had to post some explanation or apology saying that Metallica really wanted to do it and they let them break the exclusivity agreement.

Eavis said Fleetwood Mac weren't playing because they were touring. Mick said they weren't playing Glastonbury a number of times. They have shows over the weekend and are a world exclusive at one of Glastonbury's closer competitors.

Anyone for Eminem?

I'm a huge fan of hip/hop rap, but there's very few Eminem songs I like. His voice is aggravating.

He also complained at T in the Park about getting his trainers muddy, so he'd fucking freak at Glasto.

Not so sure about that.... they are playing Chicago Thursday 26th then there is a gap....... until July 6th - much more of a gap than they left last time between getting from the US to play. Im NOT saying for a moment they are playing but they have currently got a perfect sized gap to do it in, they could fly after Chicago, rest up for a few days and play Sunday night. Fly back out and rest up for a few days again.

They might feel they want to put right a wrong, have another go.

Again, I'm not saying they are or will but from the dates I've just seen on their site its very possible.

There's loads of gaps like that throughout the schedule though.. especially around the major cities. I fully expect that within minutes of tickets going on sale, most of the gaps will be filled with extra shows.

Although its "tongue in cheek" you're right, the Eavii will have to be desperate to ask for him to play & he'll expect a payout similar to R&L's.

One of the reasons U2 weren't very good in '11 was because of all the travelling. Led to an underwhelming performance from Bono - and obviously the pissing rain didn't help either.

Convinced that if U2 had played in 2010 as they were supposed to, the gig would have been much better received.
