Do you really think they wont be in some future year (assuming they continue to inflict themselves on the world)?

I'm just putting the idea out there - its a commercial operation first and foremost. Just because it currently sells out like it does now doesnt mean that'll always be the case. Punters have endless choice nowadays. Glastonbury has set itself up as the biggest festival in Europe and as part of that has to continue to persuade us that its the ticket we all want. When you set the bar at the Stones you need to keep reaching. And pop bands have the exposure.

I dont like it anymore than you do - but that Sunday night headliner slot is open for the big pop shows. We're talking about Taylor Swift as it is.

I dunno, I just think there is a "credibility line". I think (hope!) take that, one direction, katy perry etc are on the wrong side of it. Beyonce and taylor swift I suppose (arguably) straddle the line.....

you're probably right though, I just dont want to accept it!

Like any sane person, I've never been a fan of Take That. They've managed the transition well from manufactured boy band playing to clubs full of screaming men to boy band with a few of their own tunes playing to arenas full of screaming teenage girls to man band with mainly their own tunes playing to stadiums full of screaming mums BUT they probably have one song that could be described as half decent and that latest one (complete with synchronised dad dancing) is an embarrasment.

All in all... shite.

Imagine that gorgeous melody floating out over a packed pyramid field. It HAS to happen.
