Destined to play before Rudimental on the Friday afternoon IMO

Rudimental was last year. De La Soul played before them.

In the hip hop community he's the next big guy, but he's not quite there yet. New album he deffo will be.

New album he'll definitely headline places? Not convinced about that.

No, he seems like a genuine big deal, he must be at least a sub or Other headliner. Not just because my mates like him, I probably know way more people who are into The Cribs than any act that's headlined the Pyramid in the last 10 years (or... ever), but almost all of the people I know love Kendrick Lamar. He's big among everybody I work with, other members of the square community I know by association, and my friends. I see him mentioned in the media all the time as well.

That's fair enough then! :) I'm clearly out of touch with the cool kids ;)

Kendrick Lamar was rubbish at Rock Werchter in 2013. At one point he got a random guy out the crowd because he looked like Wiz Khalifa and stood pointing at him for five minutes shouting "IT'S WIZ! AAAAHAHAHA WIZ! IT'S WIZ!" etc.

The entire crowd stood there bored and bemused. Rather watch a Kanye rant.

I think that's how it went.

The rest of the set was shite, too. I think I remember him performing his verse from Fuckin' Problems on repeat for a while, while a backing track played the rest of the song.

Luckily Nick Cave was on after him.

Oh :(

Hopefully he's got better since then, Section 80 is great, and Good Kid, m.A.A.d. City is one of the very best albums released in the last few years, I'd really love to see him do it (poetic) justice live.

I'd assume he has, he looks good from footage and I've only really heard good things apart from Will.

in terms of the pyramid

Florence + The Machine

Mark Ronson

Two Door Cinema Club

George Ezra

Foo Fighters

Noel Gallaghers High Flying Birds

Kendrick Lamar

Lorde

Elton John

Pharrell Williams

Sam Smith

Lionel Richie

likely top fours? I couldn't think of an Elton John sub if i'm honest, i'd open to suggestions

can't see Mark Ronson being that high up. Uptown Funk may have been huge but he;s been away (without anybody really caring) for a long time

reckon Kendrick will be on the Friday, fourth or fifth down (if he's there)

don't think George Ezra will be that high up. doubt he'll have a second album released, so probably still be on Pyramid, just a little lower down

and i hope you're wrong about the headliners

I think Ronson's new album will bring him back a bit, if he plays he has the hits for pyramid sub easily!

well i've put George Ezra 4th since his album has gone back to #1 this week, and keeps selling 100K+ weeks.

Oh yeah just to add, Ronson is being rumoured to be lined up to headline Bestival so yeah, I'd say he's a sub.

fucking hell if that's true that's pretty poor, although i personally don't think it's true and definitely don't think he could be a sub. his act relies heavily on guest singers, which he won't have when performing live
