Wait what, where has that 'rumour' come from?

On Gigwises festival rumour rundown thing they have, can't link as i'm on mobile

90% of their rumours come from them reading these boards and since I don't keep up with the Bestival forum I assumed thats where they got it from

If its a ridiculous claim then sorry

fucking hell if that's true that's pretty poor, although i personally don't think it's true and definitely don't think he could be a sub. his act relies heavily on guest singers, which he won't have when performing live

when he played Bestival around 7 years ago, he had both of Lily Allen and Amy Winebucket as guest singers.

So don't rule out the possibility of him being able to do a full show with the relevant guest singers, at Glasto or anywhere else.

there are a few names on his new album that he could feasibly bring out (Kevin Parker (Tame Impala), Andrew Wyatt (Miike Snow), and a few no names, if they're also playing the festival, which is quite likely) but then there's the big hitters like Bruno Mars and Stevie Wonder who almost definitely won't be booked for Glastonbury and, unless they're around at the time, will be very unlikely to appear

Allen and Winehouse were local acts who wouldn't be too much trouble to get (also, i can't find the lineup, but i'm guessing they may have been playing the same festival?)

he's still nowhere near big enough to sub, mind

Feels like his place is somewhere at or near the apex of the West Holts stage.

Let's hope so his new album 'Uptown Special' is terrific - old school funky grooves - though it'd be cheaper just to book the session musicians who make that mahoosive groove, and ditch the voicals or get Trinidad James to holler!

Actually they should just book Keyone Starr, now!

hear her on itunes album release as the link to youtube missed the vocals off!

Read somewhere today that Black Eyed Peas maybe doing a tour this year (May have been the Metro).

Would they be valid headliner material?

definitely not. possibly somewhere on the Pyramid, but i personally can't see them being booked again. they're a proper joke act these days
