AC/DC definitely fit the 'British but band aren't' thing a lot more than Elton. would be a bit of a vague hint at Elton if it was about him.

Foos, AC/DC, Florence is my current guess. Florence definitely fits the recent trend of Sunday headliners, and what with her popping up in high positions on American lineups a headline spot probably isn't out of the question (especially with two very strong headliners in Foos and AC/DC)

yeah...flo would give a bit of balance against those two i guess

This board is only sceptical because they don't like her

I think most people get sceptical as soon as you declare an act "nailed on" :P

I didn't realise Florence was so big in the US to! When Kasabian can barely be seen on the poster, the US cares so little :P

I hate to say it, but I do think Florence comes across as one of those acts who would love to headline Glastonbury rather than just take the money for an exclusive at R&L or IoW.

Morning of the 4th April was the first announcement we got last year. Remember it well as I was in Paris at the time with my girlfriend and 4th April is her birthday. Needless to say I was more interested in looking at the line up repeatedly than wondering around the louvre.

AC/DC are playing Glasgow on the Sunday, highly unlikely they will do Glasto on the Saturday as so far every single European date has had at least 1 day break between shows, including shows at the same venue

Plus Brian puts massive strain on his voice in each show, to the point he can barely talk after, no way would he perform Infront of his loyal fans at Glasgow with his voice shot to pieces from the night before

Odds should be 400-1 not 4-1

She was referring to the suggestion they were playing saturday (at the time anyway).

I'd say foos, acdc and florence seem more likely of the predictions i've seen... though the two day thing for acdc seemingly makes them less likely.

Elton john is a strange one, definitely got the fhits but is no more likely this year than any other - he frequently tours which probably makes him seem less appealing. I'd guess a lot would see him at glasto but not be bothered another time though

Well, he was one of the first rumours.

I think it makes a lot of sense personally with him being one of the biggest artists of all time and only just having come around to playing fests again at Bestival and Bonnaroo among others, but there hasn't really been much else apart from the usual summer tour. Don't think I'd go along but if people are on about an act to please the masses then better it be Elton than Bruno Mars or something.
