They moved the Manchester date too. I think it ends with that Newcastle show on Friday now.

oh right okay cool. Maybe the later dates were chosen because the venues were free on the nights after the initial dates for shows to be added on consecutive nights if there had been the demand. but since that demand never materialised they're free to just move the single nights in each city forward to nights when the venues are free for one night only. If doing that meant ending the tour earlier and having an extra couple of days on the beach I'd do it. Edited January 11, 2015 by Zac Quinn

Take That are just a threesome now aren't they? If they return to 4 or 5 I think they could headline, but with just the 3 of them it seems too watered down to headline.

I reckon they'd be best as Other stage headliners, I'm a massive Libs fan but I wouldn't want to see them headlining the Pyramid.

sub-Pyramid or headline Other are the most apt places for them.

the only way I can see them actually headlining the Pyramid is if Glastonbury is really stuck for headliners this year.

I think subbing the Pyramid seems a more natural fit than headlining the Other Stage. They're a huge standard indie band, who'd probably draw a pretty massive crowd on the Other Stage. It seems like when people suggest Elbow/Flo/Noel G for the Other Stage, they definitely seem Pyramid fodder.

Although I enjoyed their Reading performance it still wasn't mind blowing and that was also subbing the main stage. I think they would absolutely nail the other stage headliner slot and I'd rather that than an ok Pyramid show.

I reckon a lot of people who weren't really fans may have been the same. I saw their warm up show at the Forum earlier that week and it was fantastic so its not that the band can't do it its just that I don't think they're that well suited to massive stages and combined with an audience who may not be that into it, it has the potential to be a disappointment.

Genuinely moved by the scenes from Paris this afternoon

Even if it reminds me of the story of when the English and German soldiers stopped fighting and had a game of football for one day (then went shopping in Sainsbury's!), then went back to war the next day!

I can only hope a fraction of the the thoughts that are motivating what's happening today can carry on.

not solid but you can be pretty sure Foo Fighters will be there

Besides the one "SR" on the line-up page (Foo Fighters), no, but agents are supposedly back off holiday this coming week so we might well find out things very soon

He's done pretty well with his rehab recently and from what I can gather a councillor from the clinic he used will be going on tour with him so hopefully he can stay clean this time.

I disagree that we can assume that Florence probably will headline. Sure, she is in with a good shout, but it's arguable whether she is more likely than many others e.g Elton, Taylor Swift, Libertines, Take That, AC/DC, Adele ... plus potential acts who nobody has even thought to mention. Other than Foo Fighters, every act currently discussed seems to have pros and cons for why they may or may not appear. In regards to Florence, I think her main con is that not everyone agrees she is quite popular enough. Arguably, of course.
