It is strange that it's almost February and there's not a lot of rumours but I think that's a good thing really! Annoying, but good. Does anyone know the rough date the lineup will be announced? I'm sure someones already asked but I can't be bothered reading through the thread.

I'd be really disappointed with the Foo Fighters which unfortunately seem to be looking more and more likely. I can't understand the draw of them whatsoever.

In an ideal world AC/DC, Noel Gallagher and The Eagles headline for me. Don't think any of them will though, Noel almost seems like he's trying to drop too many hints.

I'm gunna go with Foo Fighters, The Libertines and Motorhead. Chances of that anyone??

Would be a let down in my eyes.

Any chances they could be considering someone that wouldn't jump out at first as likely, just like the whole metallica thing last year? I think I remember you posting that there was whispers about it early on but you didn't think it was likely, and like us all you brushed it off until the rumour actually started gaining more steam?

I stopped brushing it off when I got info that said I shouldn't be brushing it off.

I've no idea what they might do this year.

I'm gonna go out and punt they've lined up florence and foos, and they wanted AC/DC but that's not gonna work. So now they are scrambling for a third headliner.

Of course that's based on nothing but I wouldn't be surprised if that's the case.

Is this on the basis that if Foo's do it, that they are unlikely to have two "heavier" headliners? Or just from things you've heard?

it's a combination of stuff - nothing particularly significant in itself, but the combination is saying to me that it's not happening, based on how it seems to go other times.

I don't guarantee that's right, tho i'll be mildly surprised if it's wrong.

Foo Fighters Saturday is my prediction. I thought Friday, until Rock Wercher announced them for Thursday.

Noel G is on there on the Saturday, which means I wont be shocked to see him swerve glastonbury. If he does play, I'd guess at Friday. (Don't think he will headline though)

If I was having a punt today:

Elton

Foos

Florence

if that was the case I think I'd be hearing more than I am.

The fact i'm hearing so little is making me think that Elton John is possibly one of them, tho that's a bit of a punt really. But if it's not him I'm thinking that at least one of the other two is one of the acts that I seem to never hear much about - that upper tier of acts - which is why i'm getting so little.

Agree 100%. In reality a band as big as the Foos finally headlining Glasto is absolutely huge news but because it's been obvious for so damn long it feels boring now, I'd rather the other two headliners didn't go the same way.

If headliners have been sorted in some form or another the question is who has the most trustworthy people around them to maintain this veil of secrecy?

Elton John

Taylor swift

Kylie

Madonna

Neil are you more likely to hear rumours from certain acts or labels from your contacts? Or is everything pretty even?

I think we should just start a thread definitively announcing three Pyramid Headline acts as confirmed, everyone else go with it as true and post accordingly, shove it all over our Twitter accounts, etc, and see how long it takes NME and then the Bizarre column in the Sun to report it.

To the extent that the Eavii have to confirm or deny.

Unless Madge's recent leaks have been deliberate (though I admit that's fairly possible) I wouldn't say her team is much good at keeping things secret :P

I reckon it was planned. Ever since Beyonce dropped her album by surprise it's become fashionable to release it all at once, it's happened before but I think she's the first major major artist to use that method.

The whole madonna thing just seemed so perfectly orchestrated, I highly doubt the whole thing was a complete accident. They probably had an early demo version of the album, leaked it to see the reaction... then put it up for preorder.

Would love: Royal Blood, Alt J, SBTRKT, Fat boy slim, Miles Kane, Bugg. Headliners aren't relied on as much at glasto which is good.

Anyone know what Franz Ferdinand are doing these days!? Always been a guilty pleasure of mine.

Jake Bugg has played G four times in two years, be stunned if he doesn't take a year off.

FF were touring last summer and didn't get booked for any of the big four except T so I don't know why they would this year.

Totally.

'Leak' it to see if people think it's shit (it is) and gauge opinion.

If it's derided, "oh, they're working demos"

As potential first-time headliners get thinner on the ground, is there good reason why no-one seems to be considering the re-appearance of a massive name from recent years? No-one seems to be discussing the possibility of a repeat appearance for someone like Bruce Springsteen, Neil Young or Paul McCartney, even though many more modern bands have re-headlined at more frequent intervals.

Did they orchestrate someone getting arrested for it as well? What an absurd idea!

Nah it'd have to be something believable.

And not Prince ffs. If the Eavii had to address a rumour of him headlining it'd destroy any chance.

Yep. I had a weird premonition it is him when i woke up the other morning. Not that i'd be arsed.

Starter for 10 (in terms of believability):

Elton

Flo

Foos

?
