He's off to Dubai soon to play a wedding for mega money as well, does that mean he's more or less likely to sign for Glastonbury?

smart move by Royal Blood. They had a huge buzz last year, massive crowd at the JP, proper exciting. Now, coming back,, it would be anticlimactic, they need to release a second album, move up a level and return and triumphant conquering heroes.

(I don't think they're very good, personally, but that's my take on it)

Spot on, Mardy.

I really enjoyed their set last year, but just seeing the same again, even if they were on a different stage (probably Other), would be a bit of a déjà vu moment. They need some new material to do a really good job.

Exactly, play the fest which wants them the most and come back with album number two and play massive slots because you've genuinely got hype, not just because you've got another album.

In all fairness Mumford and Sons and Metallica are 2 huge acts who are a lot more established and mature than any of the 2014 headliners.

Like it or not Mumfords have a very large fan base and Metallica are a go to band for heavy metal lovers.

I loved the Metallica booking but Mumfords are being told to F off by my rocker brain, but welcomed by my partial brain.

I think Melvin is playing a smart game, with the headliners that is, but the undercard isnt exactly exciting though.
