It's hard to think who could be considered rare and make Neil happy at the thought of them turning up, DP or Bowie maybe

Tbf he never indicated he's got any news that has made him particularly happy or is of someone particularly rare. He just said it would take someone rare for him to be happy specifically about that act.

Think you might be disappointed. I think he was just smiling because he was getting info. Then when someone mentioned him being happy about the act, he said it'd be a rare headliner that makes him happy, suggesting the headliner isn't the reason he's smiling.

Also I'm sure he describes Daft Punk as shite disco or something :P

Croke Park in Ireland (cap. 80,000) is holding a concert this summer (most likely in late May or June as there are sporting events for most of July and August).

Ed Sheeran was rumoured, but the radio station that originally announced the concert is saying that it will be Bruce Springsteen

could he do Glastonbury again?

great bit of know-nothing spurious bullshit from the line of best fit

http://www.thelineofbestfit.com/reviews/live-reviews/five-things-we-learned-at-last-nights-prince-gig-at-koko-for-autism-rocks

(that's the approach we've got to take, while all the time hoping and praying desperately, right?)

That is rather odd, suggesting that he might well be playing merely because he played the hits at a small charity gig?! Of course there's no chance at all, no siree.

Why do people assume acts have to be in the country in order to have "Glastonbury talks"?

Surely Eavis has a phone and shock horror a computer...

It's the 21st century guys.

it's not like he'll even be involved with the actual signing/contracts, these days it's all done through bookers/agents and for the bigger acts, their lawyers.

half the time when we're booking acts we don't even speak to the artist until we pick them up at the airport, their manager/booking agent is the only one we've talked with.
