ICGenie
My mate irons his socks. And his TOWEL I don't iron much stuff but I do iron my towels. Softens them, makes 'em a bit fluffier.

Winslow Leach
Haha, love the LCR. First time I went I took my brother's ID cause I was 17, and then he turned up about an hour after me and it turned out he knew the guy behind the bar. Fortunately I hadn't been ID'd; that'd have been fun. Haha, it's an experience, that place. Was there for the first time in ages on Saturday actually, you have to gather a group of oldies before you can brave it as a postgrad. Night life in the city just hasn't been the same since the grimy paradise that was Kartel bid us farewell. RIP, you beautifully disreputable club. monkey1989
I have never seen Coldplay live before ( first glasto was stones year ) have heard good things so I'm in the minority of actually looking forward to it
jonodillieono
HAHA shit me I never drew the connection! Also COLDPLAY WAS THE YEAR BEFORE HE WENT; IT WAS CHASE AND STATUS WHEN HE WENT! I got a Vaccines dj set, would happily take coldplay over that shit. As bland a booking as they are I wouldn't mind seeing Coldplay again provided there's nothing better on. They were quite fun live when I seen them on their last tour but if something like caribou is on the park stage I'll definitely be there instead

The Placid Casual
Maybe get Ed Sheeran, or Twin Atlantic to headline too?
monkey1989
Taylor could sub Coldplay ? if Beyoncé subbed then at T in the park . 'Subbed' sounds filthy
The Placid Casual
At least we have the other stages, right? Just stick the Chems on at the same time as Coldplay and I'm golden
The Placid Casual
Could this years' headliners top 2011's? You know what I mean by that
Gucci Piggy
Could this years' headliners top 2011's? You know what I mean by that I'd rather shoot myself in the face than see any of 2011's headliners, but I'm happy to see Foos, so personally this isn't as bad. kalifire
I can't recall a TBC being wrong. Thats Neil's bread and butter right there. Pet Shop Boys were TBC last year. They didn't play. I'm hoping Chris Martin is doing his old mate a favour by covering for a purple headliner, knowing how fragile the latter can be.
CaledonianGonzo
Fleetwood Mac were a tbc for this year for a few weeks last July.
Mezhyp1
Fleetwood Mac were a tbc for this year for a few weeks last July. This was discussed in another thread a while ago but can't seem to find it, Pet Shop Boys were definitely one though, Tenacious D at Reading was TBC and never happened, I'm sure someone will be able to recall the conversation
Wooderson
Pet Shop Boys were TBC last year. They didn't play. I'm hoping Chris Martin is doing his old mate a favour by covering for a purple headliner, knowing how fragile the latter can be. "Hi Neil, it's Emily. Favour?" "Go on." "Run a story bout Chris' band for us please? We've a shot at a particularly sensitive person and want everyone off his regal scent... Will make sure you get first dibs on pwoppah announcent when the time is right." *Neil deliberates for a week* "Go on then."
Spindles
Strange one this. I like Coldplay and they were superb in 2011 but it feels like too much of a repeat. Anyway, I don't have a ticket so can only hope this prompts a few Coldplay haters to chuck their tickets in. Fingers crossed for you. I also ended up at Coldplay in 2011, despite having no intention of seeing them, simply because I was on crutches that year and couldn't be bothered with slogging across the site after seeing elbow with the kids, they went down really well with the crowd and their visuals (the high def projections onto the pyramid) were the best I've seen at the festival. I can't say I'd go out of my way to see them again, but I think they'd still pull a decent crowd and get a good response. It will be interesting to see who they are up against (last time round it was the chems, another glastonbury stalwart act).
JoeyT
So are we at a point now where we're thinking because Neil was wrong in past he will be now? Seems silly. I'm sure if he'd written that article about Prince or Radiohead there would be nobody questioning it's credibility.
eFestivals
Coldplay were down as a rumour months ago on the rumors page, but got removed again! Why?because we had word of an indication that they weren't doing it - that turned out to be wrong. We can only go by what we hear (or we could do what other sites do, and make it up out of nothing ). Mardy
Yeah, this all seems too believable. Depressingly so.
Mardy
I hear the sound of mardy's ticket falling onto the resale pile. This could be the final straw that decides it for him. DON'T DO IT MARDY. It could still be prince on sunday. Place would be slightly worse without you there. Slowly paving the way for more coldplay in years to come. He's gonna go for a boozy wander with me. Rest easy young Sir. hehehe.you lads are fucking great. Nope, I'll be there, Wooderson put the batsignal up in the sky. Not even a combination of the Russian economy going tits up and the evil that is Chris Martin can stop me.
FuzzyDunlop
Neil, you do a great job here, but can you please come back with better news on Other Stage headliners?!? Thanks!
eFestivals
Yup I agree, I think Coldplay are the result of them really struggling to get other bands.it's most likely that Coldplay simply approached Glasto and said they want to do it.Care to tell me which fests turn away suitable headline bands when that suitable band is one of the biggest acts in the world? A Guy Called Matt
Can't be bothered to try and read all the pages I missed as I am sure there is nothing but Coldplay chat! One down, two to go - Things can only get better....... I hope. Anyway. Here is a great place to talk all things Coldplay so this thread is not clogged up http://www.efestivals.co.uk/forums/topic/190562-coldplay-2015/
