I can only report what I saw and heard. Plus let's be honest, everyone's got a musical skeleton in their closet. Or two....or three....but let's not go into that here...is Kylie playing?....no wrong place to ask that....

How's it going anyway chief? I missed last year because of the birth of a child, not got a ticket this year (yet) so checking in for the first time.

Kylie more interesting than Coldplay. Just my two cents.

Alls good man. Like you, another kid. Hope you're getting some decent kip.

It's easy to differentiate between dreams and reality, but that doesn't mean it's not disappointing when you're hoping for a banquet and get offered a mouldy banana.

True, but it depends on your expectations and how realistic they are. If you're sat in an old, humid banana warehouse, then you really shouldn't be disappointed.

Unless said humid banana warehouse is next door to a fine dining restuarant and you can see the people in there chowing down on lobster and necking champagne.

christ, and to think we were all bemoaning that booking Muse for this year would've been too soon

you can't deny that, like them or not, Foo Fighters, Coldplay, Taylor Swift looks damn impressive. three ginormous worldwide acts. it's just disappointing that out of the huge net of acts, they choose one that people are already sick of seeing atop the lineup

Kylie could sub coldplay and you would have a very strong night, even if your not a fan its hard to argue against that.

yep, i'd take that!

Yet that same warehouse held one of the best banquets ever to grace the planet only as far back as 2009.................

Times change, an inability to grasp that is part of why unrealistic expectations are formed. Six years ago the banana company was thriving with many fresh bananas and banana-related products in abundance. You can't expect a table full of banana bread, banana chips, banana splits, banana ice-cream, banana angel delight and fried caremalised bananas all washed down with banana nesquik nowadays, or to be able to use the likes of this ever again:

Well then it's up that that person to leave the banana warehouse and pop into the restaurant next door. If it's that much of an issue then loyalty to the banana company may have to be questioned, there's comes a time when huddling in the corner of an abandoned warehouse munching on mouldly bananas goes beyond admirable commitment.

That's the 'if you hate mouldy bananas so much, you should move to North Korea' argument. Someone who truly loved the banana warehouse would be helping - through voicing concerns, the democratic process and other means - to help return it to it's glory days when it stocked a variety of fresh, interesting soft fruits.

Absolutely right, although you can stay and try to help the banana warehouse and still maintain a sense of realism regarding the performance of the company and the quality of the goods that it is likely to handle.
