stuartbert two hats
The Bends is a great album. I don't listen to it often, but whenever I do, I wonder why not. It's really good and such a huge step over the previous record. Not a simple pop/rock album by any means. Now as, for people who think Pablo Honey is the best, I suspect that they don't really like music...

WS_Jack_III
Trick question: the answer is a Portishead.Motorhead! also whenever i hear the name Portishead, i always think of it as Porti-shed, a portable shed. If anyone listened to the old Ricky Gervais show on XFM they'll know where the previous post came from. willutalk
Machine 'Fucking' Head, for me! Crushing guitar riffs, sweet solos, Rob Flynn growling like a bear, Dave McClain drumming like a machine gun and newly recruited Jared sliding beefy bass lines over all that! What more could you want from a thrash, groove metal band?
Badlands
What would you rather have. A Radiohead, a Lemonhead or a Talking Head? Was listening to Its a Shame About Ray at the gym tonight. Great album.

LaurieReid
Minor detail, but I believe The Streets played John Peel in '11. Beyoncé was on pyramid and I was at other watching Queens of the Stone Age. I was a bit gutted they clashed with The Streets. Yeah my bad you're right. I was there and everything. Class memory I've got. But there are some similarities between the lineups in the past few years, Prodigy would be a good sub or alternative to the pyramid stage assuming foo's/swift headline for me. Will be celebrating Liverpools FA Cup win still when we get to Glasto
LaurieReid
Rockbusters! I wish Karl gave us 3 rockbuster clues to the headliners. Not even sure if it would help us guess or hinder our efforts, but we could take the piss out of him regardless.

Wooderson
Pyramid headliners are always pants anyway. I'm just glad I got to see triumphant sets from The Rolling Stones and Arcade Fire on that stage, and I'm most hopeful to go back again to see Taylor Swift this year. But, really, given the choice, you'd rather see a band you love play on a stage where you can actually see and hear them, and the other people there actually like the band, and you didn't have to turn up an hour early to get in, and you don't spend an hour getting out afterwards. A lot of comments say Coldplay are a band for people who don't really listen to music, but big outdoor stages like the Pyramid are gigs for people who aren't really into live music, aren't they? It's a spectacle, a few great bands can make it their own, but in and of itself, the place is a bit of a fucking nightmare. Coldplay might be dull as balls on the music side, but they've nailed the spectacle, let 'em have it, watch Patti Smith on West Holts, everybody's happy. Horseshit. Glastoboy
Maybe they are going to go the whole hog? Radiohead - Coldplay - Muse. MWAHAHAHAHA! Y
kalifire
Radiohead MUST be in the running for next year. if they aren't booked next year off the back of a new album then it's a travesty You mean an established, aging band who have headlined plenty of times before being booked just because they have a new album out? Matt - Ed Banger Records
You mean an established, aging band who have headlined plenty of times before being booked just because they have a new album out? Or alternatively, a seminal british band that last headlined 12 years ago and would have 3 new albums worth of material to play?
