everyone who didnt see them says they were crap but everyone who did see them says they were ace! (no doubt some smart arse will prove me wrong now..)

something about it just clicked for me.

100% agree. No matter how crap people who weren't there say it was, I don't care. I was there and I loved it and that's all that matters!

I was right in the mixer and when "History" started all was well in the world.

I'd say their self titled is definitely up there too. Colour and the Shape is probably my favourite, then I'd probably rank the debut, Nothing Left to Lose and Wasting Light in the join second slot. After that, you're right, there's a biiiig gap between the rest

Agree, first two albums are best, Wasting Light a 'return to form' the rest have unfortunately been the odd good song surrounded by dull MOR rock.

Reading 2012 set-list was unbelieveable, they pulled out so much old stuff, no fucking around with special guests, it's unfortunate that a Glasto set would probably be a 'greatest hits' set of their last two albums plus the more recent stuff from that got the most airplay (Learn To Fly, All My Life, Best Of You, The Pretender).

Worth remmebering that after the release of their second record there was a bit of a backlash against the Foos in the muisc press and it wasn't until they pulled off a couple of big singles (airplay-wsise) from their third album that they really moved into the mainstream, that's why I think their first two records seem under-represented when it comes to setlists.

The last time I saw them, they opened with Aurora which was unbelievable. The night before us did get Weenie Beenie, however, which is one I really want to hear live

Can't see it at Glasto though. Hey Johnny Park! and Cold Day in the Sun are probably the only ones they'll do that's not on the best of or the last two albums

this is a reason why people hate grohl. I dont really agree with it as I didnt think nirvana were that great, but this amused me a bit.

Here's why: it would be like if Jerry Garcia from the Grateful Dead had died and Mickey Hart formed another band, and when they played it sounded like the Dave Mathews band and all these preppy people got really into it, made him into a millionaire, and thought they were now deadheads, much better than those old grungy real deadheads. Thankfully the Grateful Dead generation never had to deal with that, but in the 90s everything was for sale. The youth of that generation, my generation, got to watch this beautiful Neo-hippie movement get smashed into crap like Bush, Dave Mathews, Oasis, Britney Spears and all kinds of other crap music produced by people that hated us and everything we stood for. And when the guy that was running the smashing machine, was the old drummer from Nirvana, well that was hard to take.

Foo Fighters tear through ACL? They'll be out for months with that injury, better get Rickie Lambert in as a replacement

What are you even talking about?

What did you expect Grohl to do? The guy wanted to make music.

So he made music. You do know he was in bands before Nirvana

glad they've dropped White Limo, never clicked with that one

White Limo is a great song, although yeah, not too fussed on it being in the set. looking at their recent setlists, they seem to play an entire 4/5 song set of cover songs mid way through the set. that can fuck right off at Glastonbury please. one, maybe two cover songs is okay (although i'd still prefer none), but i'm there to see Foo Fighters, and want Foo Fighters songs

it's a copy and paste, just one of the reasons why people hate him.

have you been scouring the internet for reasons why people dislike Dave Grohl? haha

2008's lineup had some brilliant moments but, as a whole, it was the year that landfill indie took over (a continuation from 2007 where it had begun). i mean, The fucking Fratellis subbing the Pyramid. that lineup just reminds me how dire the music scene was at the time

Your right, they should have headlined.

Was brilliant that, felt like it stopped suddenly and short...but it was a great night regardless!

"It doesn't look like I'm gonna play at Glasto..." Noel said.

Are they seriously not gonna call him to play???!!!!

Who in his right feet don't want Noel to play at his festival? And most having stated so many time that he wants to do it, prefering a headliner spot but if not even on the sunlight aswell...

My godness this has ruin my day...

Sorry but I don't understand it at all...

Someone pointed out it might've been a medley, which I'd hope as it only takes about 8 minutes rather than 25.
