I would agree with you on some of those to be fair. I only said that they were names I would bet on appearing at the festival; not necessarily my own dream list. I picked them on the basis of people like Noel showing his face at the farm this year, Fleetwood Mac looking to make the recovery, Calvin Harris unfortunately paving the way to fill a Skrillex type slot etc...

I am sure that I read somewhere that The Kinks were looking to get stuck back into some live shows? 50 year anniversary and 'Essential Kinks' being released next month... Other Stage Headliners or Sunday Legends?...Either way, I could see them playing Glastonbury in the next few years if they can avoid stabbing each other with forks..

Well seeing as they were due to play the first festival and then pulled out the day before not only to be replaced by T-Rex, I could see a massive ploy into getting them there. I could see them either doing a really really secret slot (which would be absolutely stunning) or legends slot.

maybe just me.....after the first few years of going the pull of the Pyramid seems to have lessened for headliners.

I think the last few years I've only wanted to see 1 Pyramid headliner, to start with it felt like a must to be there for all.

for me - James and/or Placebo headlining the Other would be a joy and keep me away from the Pyramid again

it's because most recent headliners have been totally shit.

Looks like The Killers are going on a break and Brandon Flowers is doing another solo album, so we don't have to worry about them.

Bloody shame. I absolutely adore The Killers for that great feel good vibe. My sister and I used to listen to Hot Fuzz and Sam's Town all the time so we seem to know all of the lyrics, so it'd be one hell of a song-along in our point of view. I hope they do play soon!

Really can't see The Kinks on the Other Stage. Can't think of any heritage act that's been on there. Pet Shop Boys is the oldest headliner I can personally think of.

Iggy Pop is the obvious one, if he can do it then I wouldn't rule the Kinks out. But really, if it's a true (remaining) Kinks reunion then they belong on the Pyramid either headlining or second from top.

Those 2 albums were the whole of their set when they headlined in 2007 and it's been downhill since then. Even if they weren't taking a break it would make little sense to book them as a headliner again.

I'm saying it again, putting it out there, Saw Ms Lauryn Hill last night in Brixton and it was truly exceptional.

She plays all that Bob Marley material like it's her own, and along with that the Fugees songs and her solo tunes it adds up. The whole crowd sang Killing me Softly as we left the venue a magical moment, another Hay Jude moment in the making.

Please Emily Please.

Joss Stone was right there in the audience too, please can we have her also.

I was just reading how many people were very let down by what some thought was a shambles of a performance (at the Brixton Academy). Good to hear not everyone had the same experience.

I don't understand those people, mad as the proverbial box of frogs, yet so far from a shambles, perfection to my ears.

and yet bamber is the man who thinks jessie j fantastic. :P

wait wait wait wait... bamber is a man!? that had never crossed my mind. i'd always assumed it was a girl

it's a shame about the bad reviews coming back from the Lauryn Hill show as i'd have loved to have seen her. doesn't sound so much a bad show as not the show the people there were expecting / wanting. sounds a lot like a Bob Dylan show - all the songs are there but you have a hard time recognising them

Though Bob's not normally 90 minutes late taking to the stage.
