It is odd that Taylor Swift fans are very vocal on here, but other mainstream singer songwriters such as Ed Sheeran, Jake Bugg etc etc get relatively little admiration. And if anything, Taylor comes across as even poppier than that.

Fair point indeed! If she ends up headlining and there's no alternative headliner I'm interested in, maybe Ill buy an album before the gig to try and get into it. (Though in truth, as I've said before on here, Im just not convinced she's big enough with UK adults to headline.)

I don't expect anyone to automatically get Taylor Swift. I didn't. It's nothing like the stuff I would generally listen to which might be some Zappa or Fleet Foxes

. Maybe some Pearl Jam,;Amon Duul 2 or AC/DC.It just happened. I think she's typically American and I love that. I have no problem with the hearfelt sincerity, the we are all one big family attitude. That appeals to me enormously and that is still why I love the festival so much. We are all one brothers and sisters.

They have no interest in my music at all, TS included.They are embaressed by their Dad listening to pay trance in the kitchen all the time And are mystified by the TS thing. The wife wants to know when I am going to stop wearing Hawkwind T shirts and dress for my age. Not a chance

Seen both Eagles and Taylor Swift live. Eagles were better. Although I admit it's a pretty dumb suggestion, but that's what I enjoy chiming with on this board.

Some Herbert on The Voice* earlier did Shake it Off in a Mumfords stylee. It was some sort of eFests purgatory. The sound of grinding teeth across the country was deafening (couldn't be heard).
