Explain yourself.

Resale success is a guaranteed certainty and always has been, how can you get easier than that? Why would two hugely popular headliners mean the resale is easy anyway? You're talking rhubarb, my friend, utter rhubarb. I hereby call you on it.

Sorry, you're quite right. Five months of no ticket has turned the brain to mush. Ignore me everyine, I'm spouting as much rubbish as this West fella.

whilst i'm with you on the resale being a certainty ;) i definitely think less people will be paying their deposits due to the Kanye announcement (but not so much so that there are still tickets left 24 hours later or anything)

You notice how the citizens of Worthy Farm are always salt of the Earth type people, their inherent decency and unfailing ability to have a great time always recharges your batteries to go out into the world for another year? I think these types that take umbrage with headliners are too negative to be in the Glastonbury-going crowd, they just don't have the minerals, whether it be headliners or something else, they'll always be weeded out somehow. But the resale crowd are the opposite, nobody every says they're giving up on the resale because of a headliner, it's always hope and optimism, things that can be found in the very soil on the farm. There are forces at work in the universe, I don't pretend to understand them, no philosophers or scholars or priests or prophets have ever managed to properly comprehend these force, no matter what they claim. These forces always make sure that the right energies are present at Glastonbury, this my very obtuse way of trying to explain something very complex that I can only see the very tip of, but I'm sure that these forces keep bad vibes out and keep good vibes in. It's this principle that NFiR NFC is built upon, while we can't hope to know fully what is at work here, we can definitely follow where these forces are directing us.

I haven't slept now for about 30+ hours, going to get my head down, peace out, one and all.

If Kanye got his head out his rear for a night, threw in a College Dropout heavy setlist and cut the arrogant speech, he could smash it.

Sadly it'll be a global platform for him to preach off.

On the bright side, hopefully resale will be easier!

This

If, an it's a big if, Kanye respects the festival and understands that this is not a captive audience of adoring fans who will put up with his bullshit because they have nowhere else to go, and if he decides to accept this fact and doesn't try to "prove the haters wrong" on that count, and he pulls out a greatest hits set with a big stage show, this could be a legendary performance

But he'll probably fuck it

You's know this one

edit: the link didn't work. I meant to post this, in response to the people saying they only knew like 3 Kanye songs. This is most likely a known one (and would be killer live if he played it)

I can honestly say I've never heard that in my life before.

I have heard another one, that one that samples Diamonds Are Forever.

I'd not heard the video tune before either.

Unless you are into him or listen to Radio one, when would people have heard him? He just doesn't register with me. No more than Formula One does. I know ot happens, I know who Lewis Hamilton is, but never seen a race

Be interested to hear Neils take on this with him not beleiving kanye west yesterday.

Hmm yeah sounds like a rejigg of contacts needs to occur after coldplay being wrong and him thinking Kanye won't be there an hour before he was announced...

Indeed, Neil has always been very open and honest about these things. He has good contacts but sometimes the info just doesn't get out in a reliable enough fashion for him to be willing to share.

If nothing else we can at least show that BigBillyBalls was talking nonsense with his claim that the saturday headliner had played before on a Sunday and smashed it.

I think he went as far as to say he doesn't think it'll be Kanye but it was all just conjecture based on whispers.

Yeah, I thought so. Nothing out of the ordinary there.

As for the third headliner, Blur are an obvious contender but it would seem a but weird them doing the Sunday night again after only doing it six years ago, would it not?

Edit: Just thought - Arctic Monkeys did two Fridays didn't they? No problem then!

Sadly, if they were, the majority would still be outraged by Kanye. See 2014, when the members of Metallica, who have squeezed out better sounding turds than Kasabian's best track, were still the biggest affront to many who were outraged that that the Eavii would have the audacity to book one of the best heavy rock artists of all time.

Libertines should be the third headliner right?

No. I think it's gotta be blur now. Unless the Stone Roses really are 'active'.

I think they announced Kanye on his own because the rumours were becoming so strong. If they had kept everyone in the dark I think they'd have announced him with the rest of the lineup.
