for a long time now there's been at least one British headliner.. not sure whether that's been intentional or just by chance. a lot of people seem to think that because Glastonbury is THE British festival, it should have a British headliner. me? i couldn't give a shit - i'd rather three decent headliners than one being there purely to fill the British quota

I think maybe because It's usually harder to get American headliners for most festivals they end up never getting a full american trio.

However, if three massive american headliners fell into the lap of any festival (even glasto) I doubt they'd say no.

I almost want her to headline on Sunday just for that reason. In all honesty, I expect GF fully predict the shitstorm that will occur as a result of not announcing white men with guitars, and good on them for staring the c**ts in the eye and wishing them away. GF no longer needs tthem or their archaic attitude, and the rest of us are better off without them as well.

yeah i suspected as much - think people need to realise that Glastonbury can't just book whoever they want - the acts have to want to do it too, and if there aren't any British acts who want to do it (or if there are three American acts who really want to do it) then tough titties

it's like... there's probably a massive reason why AC/DC, Fleetwood Mac, Paul McCartney, Bruce Springsteen, Prince etc aren't playing... and it's probably not glastonbury choosing not to book them.

You can kind of understand that, similarly when American's pay good money for Bonnaroo and Coachella etc they expect top American headliners for that money. It's fair to say, Blur and The Stone Roses did not go down well on the same day but most over hear would be losing their shit over that!
