You're making the mistake of thinking that the rabid overreaction of negativity towards Kanye is tolerant of alternative artists on any night. Not so - that lot won't be happy unless every single headliner correctly conforms to their narrow, bigoted view of musical quality. Fuck them and their Hampton house(s).

I think there are more factors here than people wanting "white boys with guitars". Especially with someone like Kanye...

There's a person who I'm not massively keen on going too, but I'm gonna go anyway and have the best time because there'll be loads of other people going I really like. And that other person going won't really effect me or stop me having an incredible party.

To be honest I was going to suggest that we pair up that idiot who started the petition with Russy for the whole festival, and allow Russy to make all the decisions of what they're seeing and where they're going.

You can kind of understand that, similarly when American's pay good money for Bonnaroo and Coachella etc they expect top American headliners for that money. It's fair to say, Blur and The Stone Roses did not go down well on the same day but most over hear would be losing their shit over that!
