UKIP yes, Clarkson yes... But I won't have a bad word said about Boris! He's a daft God amongst men. Much like in music and football there's not enough people with personalities anymore...

This isn't me saying Boris is a good politician btw.

Boris Johnson absolutely despises you, you do realise that don't you?

I'm definitely up for increased diversity amongst headliners but regardless of ethnicity or gender Kanye and Taylor just sounds a bit too much like a V line-up to me and i'm not sure the Foo Fighters balance that out too well.

Still i wouldn't start a petition about it, just likely be elsewhere (and possibly give TS' albums a go if she's confirmed).

It is going to the stone roses I am not joking a very good source spilled the beens to me tonight, announcement on Friday. If not I will donate alot of money to water aid

Define a lot? Cos drinking whiskey and hugging a leprachaun will not get you out of this binding contract of donation.

What if The Stone Roses are refusing to comment on whether they've broken up because they want to go out with a bang at Glastonbury...

Yeah, I want the Roses to be there. I caught them twice on their reunion tour and both shows were phenomenal.

Please be aware, that even though I think there's a chance they'll be there, I don't believe the top sentence.

They could do that if they play, but I would probably think it the precursor to an album and moneyspinning tour rather than finishing stuff off.

It's just the little englander mentality- the people whinging about non-British headliners are UKIP supporters, find Boris Johnson charismatic and are upset about Jeremy Clarksons suspension.

2 out of 3 for me

Can't stand UKIP, well Farage anyway, am a passionate tory

I signed the petition for Clarkson to stay, Top Gear is my fave show by miles, and it wouldnt be the same without Clarkson

I am a big Boris Johnson fan too, he is funny, charismatic, has no time for PC and would be one of the best PM's we have ever had

Would be over the moon if it was the Roses. Can't understand why they'd announce this out of nowhere.

I wouldn't be able to wrap my head around it, but the lack of news coming from their corner since 2013 is strange. It really wouldn't surprise me if they came up out of the blue with some album news

try having him as mayor - makes me glad to be spending most of the year in bristol now. he's a conniving, vain little swine

Also, really hope Kanye doesn't pull out in light of all this backlash, which has happened before (NZ Big Day Out 2012, we got Soundgarden instead of him)

Did he actually pull out because of the backlash though? I thought those legs of the festival just axed him because they had a change of venue, meaning they probably couldn't afford him.

I've also been wondering about that. Despite all the bravado, he's pretty clearly a sensitive guy and I can see this getting to him. I'm sure he's got perspective to realise most of them are w*nkers, but the sheer volume of negativity flowing his way must be exhausting. I shudder to think what kind of replies he got the tweet he deleted about headlining. I'd be surprised if they didn't have a back-up on hand, although it would be a very sad day for the festival if online abuse leads to a headliner withdrawal.

Kanye ain't my bag, probably because I haven't listened to a lot of his stuff. I have heard that a lot of his "Look at me, I'm great" stuff is just a piss take pushing of the boundaries, unlike the champion (Liam Gallagher) of those going spare at the news. If this is true, I hope he smashes it out of the park, both the criticism and the gig. I hope he responds to the criticism in a way that winds people up even more. If I can I'd definitely like to see a bit of his set, just to see. I did that with Jay-Z and enjoyed the rest. Well I think I did...what I can remember.
