I can't see two announcements in the same week nor, as much as I'd love it to happen, I can't see it being Stone Roses.

After the Kanye annoincement I've already convinced myself that the final headliner is gonna be shite

Haha, you know, i was pretty disapponted with this news last night, but i've changed my mind completely. if it's getting all these morons in a tizz, then its got to be a good thing. Love it, in the way that i'm prepared to support modern art just cos it pisses Brian Sewell off.

That is exactly my reaction. Previously I considered that he would be a poor choice and a waste of a good slot, but since he was announced and watching all the little Clarksons who would never have attended anyway use it as a stick to bash the festival, hell I've loved it. I'm fully onboard for mr West to come to our little party and smash it to a crowd who really want to be there. I'm hoping for something great elsewhere (*cough* Damien Rice acoustic..please and thank you).

Would love it to be the roses said it before but Heatpn park and Finsbury park both great shows. Also think they would bring a nice balance to the foo's and Kanye. I just can't see another announcement this week especially a headliner.

I'm sorry Lawn and Martin but it's not gunna be Taylor headlining the Sunday. It can't be. Likelihood is it will be British and if it's not it won't be Taylor. She's too young and it just doesn't fit.

I'm all for her playing but will be subbing or maybe 3rd down.

As long as she's on I'll be happy but I don't think nationality comes into it one iota. I honestly feel she will headline and it will be sensational

I'm definitely up for increased diversity amongst headliners but regardless of ethnicity or gender Kanye and Taylor just sounds a bit too much like a V line-up to me and i'm not sure the Foo Fighters balance that out too well.

Still i wouldn't start a petition about it, just likely be elsewhere (and possibly give TS' albums a go if she's confirmed).

All five albums are excellent. I would never lie to you.

The stone roses as the final headliner would be great imo

I was born / listening to music way out of their time and I guess that's why I've struggled to get into them.

I don't want to see all three pyramid headliners so I'm happy to be somewhere else sunday night

I love the Stone Roses on record but they were shite when I saw them in 2012. I'm sure the crowd carried them well in the UK, but seeing them abroad really did emphasise just how bad they can be.

Do you mean Ian Brown can't sing? I think it is wrong really to insinuate they are shit because Ian Brown is not blessed vocally. Musically you will be hard pressed to find another British band better than them. Imo Britain has not produced any drummer as good as Reni, he is the best. How good is John Squire on guitar? Johnny Marr maybe better but there are not many more. Then there is Mani's killer basslines.

I know what you are trying to say as I have seen both sides of the Roses, 1st when the crowd sing along and the atmosphere is great. When it is not a partisan Roses crowd, Ian's voice can suffer a bit. But you will be hard pressed to find a better British band musically and the songs stand up for themselves.

I agree, The Stone Roses were pretty terrible when i saw them in Oz a few years ago. Musically fine, but the vocals were just dreadful. The crowd sing-along made it just bearable.

A band/artist of that poor a quality are not Headline worthy in the slightest. imo

I mean the type of people she attracts, she is now an icon for 15 year old girls in the UK, I would say a large part of that is because of Harry, the Directioners have taken over her fanbase

Possibly referring to the 3rd headliner?

Something that always grips my shit that, people are always saying that they're notoriously bad live, when the opposite is true. Often they will point to the mid 90s when they were a drug-addled mess with half the band missing.
