My mate is a teacher, told me of a time he'd had to split up an argument of kids in his class who were all berating this one kid for being the school bullshitter. He asked what had been going on, and it turned out that one of the kids had been warning all the others that cars wont be allowed to be painted black or white soon to avoid offending people, he was adamant the government were introducing this law soon. Turned out it was just a kid who took things incredibly literally had picked up on his Daily Fail-reading father's "it's political correctness gone mad!" rants and misunderstood.

Thank you, I do not want to be to confident but the stone roses very strong rumour was from a very reliable source I do not want to name him just yet but he did say it is 95% chance they are headlining Sunday night.

Do you not think if he was a truly reliable source he would actually know one way or the other rather than saying "95% sure". Are you confusing 'famous' with 'reliable', or something along those lines?

I believe you to the extent I believe you were told this and believe it. I'm just not sure how much your source really knows.

Follow me, this game always come sup around this time.

Pretty sure I guessed Arcade Fire last year. Definitely didn't guess Metallica.

The one I'm sure will headline at some point before it's too late is Lady Gaga. Adele certainly looks likely for the future and it'll be good to have the Foo Fighters back at long last.

Fleetwood Mac seems to essentially be TBC.

Because they were a british band who were at the time at the forefront of a musical movement. Their debut album is looked at as a classic.

From them a lot spawned, including Oasis, who were the best selling band of the 90's (in Britain)

honestly, if IOW does have Blur (which i think they do), Prince is the only one (for me) who could come close (and even then it'd be a matter of taste). i'd also love it to be Taylor but she's hardly a crowd pleaser, especially with Kanye in the mix. she can sub Prince (and Flo can sub Foos, and another big female act can sub Kanye - that'd be getting one over on IOW)

It depends, it is a pretty iconic album. They were on hiatus, which added to the mystique. Ian Brown was reasonably successful so the public appitite for them didn't decrease.

1 album might not if you put it like that, but the fact I'd guess 80,000 people would watch them on the pyramid does.

(I do like the second album though)

it's a pretty damn good album, but i share your views - especially as they've already toured the hell out of it / their reunion. IF they were headlining, i suppose we're assuming they'd have a new album out by then, but, much like Blur, who the hell wants to hear any of that played live? very few i bet
