Doug85
I'll be mildly surprised if it's more than just one of them - with that being FM. Are you just teasing us then? haha Do you think that AC/DC wont happen at all? im clinging onto hope that it maybe The Stone Roses although i wouldnt be upset with Biffy after seeing them earlier this year
Festival Liam
If its Muse it's going to be such a boring booking. I'd rather they took a punt on somebody new like Florence, Foals or even someone really small like Alt J ... or some act who's never quite made it to headliner status despite being around for ages like Elbow, Nick Cave, PJ Harvey .... than Muse again.I fully realise it will be Muse over any of those bands, but yawn.(And I love Muse) Edited October 3, 2014 by Festival Liam
brettredmayne
I am still going for Fleetwood Mac - Foo Fighters - Muse/Radiohead (depending on who has finished they album) Neil, you said a few weeks ago you normally hear about radioheads plans round about now, did you get any news? Doug85
Florence is awful live and IMO would go down like a lead balloon at headliner status. Muse can still get a decent enough crowd. I am going for Fleetwood Mac, AC/DC and probably the old reliable Coldplay

Gucci Piggy
I'm absolutely amazed Green Day have never headlined or even played at Glasto. Their live sets are incredible. There's no way you couldn't be impressed by it unless you don't like live music. Even if you're not a big fan of theirs. I'd absolutely love to see them there. I wouldn't even put them in my top 5 favourite bands ever but they're one I'd wish to see on the Pyramid! I saw them last year and it wasn't good. Gucci Piggy
yeh true, I'd rank foo fighters alongside muse, killers, kings of leon, kasabian etc in terms of "heaviness". Soft rock. Perfect for the pyramid I suppose. Though do foo fighters have as many "hits" as those other bands I've mentioned? I know not a lot about them, aside from that I dont like them I agree with them being as heavy as Muse, but both those bands are definitely heavier than the rest. Yeah Foo Fighters probably have as many hits as any headliner there is (aside from Zep/Prince, etc.). Most of their Greatest Hits would go down very well. sisco
Is somethibg like this fairly realistic? Biffy Clyro NGHFB Fleetwood Mac Florence and the Machine Muse Example

Would have thought Foos comfortably have more hits than Zep/Prince. Doesn't really matter but just pointing it out. Is somethibg like this fairly realistic? Biffy Clyro NGHFB Fleetwood Mac Florence and the Machine Muse Example I don't think so. Florence will be a headliner next year, Example couldn't sub and Biffy won't do Glastonbury between tours. They're too much in the same ball park.Tho as I keep saying, they can only choose from what's available, so the fact of them being similar is unlikely to absolutely stop both bands appearing, dependent on the available options. Personally cannot see Florence headlining Glasto, maybe one of them joint headliner places at T, but Glasto, for me... no chance. Example subbing - maybe it is one space too high, but surely he isnt any smaller than Dizzy who subbed not so long ago? But your prob right. Biffy - its prob more hope on my part rather than actually being likely.

I would say he isnt big enough to justify sub headlining Glasto anymore
Gnomicide
as a fan i'd love to see them but it wouldn't be the same without Malcolm Young As a fan, I'd say it would make little difference. Yes he holds down the rhythm like a good un but apart from when he strides forward to deliver the odd "Oi!" into the mic, you barely notice him. dentalplan
Plus he's been replaced within the family. If all the band do that when they retire then AC/DC could just carry on infinitely.
Gnomicide
A bit like Kiss. They just need to dress up as the person they are replacing. The E Street Band seems to be going through a similar change but without the dressing up.
kingcrawler
Fleetwood Mac NGHFB Muse Morrissey Florence + the Machine Two Door Cinema Club That would be my guess at the moment. Not too confident about the subs bar Noel though.

Robert Plant's son's a frontman isn't he?
Gnomicide
No Kiss aren't relatives but they've made it easy for themselves by going back to make up. The replacement takes the old members make up and the change is seamless. Bloody odd, but seamless.
dentalplan
Well I suppose when it's someone like Kiss who are much more of a brand than band then it's no different to replacing Teletubbies.
