I don't get the hate for Green Day's performances last year. Reading was the best gig I've ever been to. Sadly will never get the chance to rock the Pyramid :(

Green day weree much better at Brixton and Emirates but i still loved their reading set. They wont ever play glasto but they wont be too hard to see again :)

Saying the foos have the same number of recognisable hits as prince is very odd. My son occasionally like the 'greatest hits' of the foos on in the car, I recognise about 7 of them and its a single album.

Now granted I am a prince fan but even casual listeners I drag along to concerts will know most of a 2 hour set.

Led Zep, again older people will know a lot but younger people maybe about 5 though they may not know the titles (sad times).

The fact the foos have confirmed EU dates in June and aren't doing download, maybe we shouldn't write them off... and possibly consider they could actually do it.

If they're doing Wembley in the UK in early summer, then expect them back in the UK at the end of the summer for R/L.

That's been my expectation since Grohl said they'd be playing Wembley next year.

Skimming through the Foo Fighters' discography on Wikipedia, not only do I not recognise any of the singles titles, none of their albums (sleeves or names or otherwise) seem to have made it onto my radar either. It's like they've never even existed.

i'd probably have difficulties recognising song titles, and I've little interest in them. I have seen them a number of times over the years from doing efests work, and i'm always surprised how many of their songs i know, even the newer ones - a lot gets played on the radio, but if it's not grabbing you you tend not to notice who its by.

Depends on your age, if you're 25 or below you'd probably know more foos songs than Prince songs.

This year was the first time I actively listened to prince and I started with purple rain and all the big singles. Almost all of them were entirely new to me whereas when I done the same with the foos I easily recognisee at least 10 songs

Possibly too soon for them? But I guess that never stops Melvin.

I think Foos will hold out for a call from Glastonbury or just take a nice V Fest payout

He hasn't said they're playing Wembley, has he? He said something about doing a week at Wembley, but it sounded like he was talking about them having done that in the past.

Me too, and the same with this biffy clyro fella. Can't remember ever hearing either of them.

People get me to listen to all kinds of stuff however no one has ever put them on at parties, pubs, juke boxes or even playin at open mic nights.

It seems no one i know has ever had the thought "what people need right now is a bit of biffy or the foos"

Quick, someone get on to the Eavii - bobsacamano has, by some sort of divine intervention, never heard a song by Foo Fighters or Biffy Clyro ever! Better disregard their blanket festival and radio coverage, huge sell out tours and general massive popularity, they're clearly not Pyramid headliners. It's so clear now.
