... hey guys, do you think that Noel and his high flying birds would still appear on sunday (the only gap in his tour) despite all that "now I think I won't be there" from Noel?

We all know about his big mouth so could that be just rubbish to mess with us and give later the surprise?

It would be a fantastic pyramid sub for sure...

Nah, I can't see him subbing given that he's headlining T.

He's changed his general comment on him playing from "I've got the weekend free but I'm not sure" to "it doesn't look like I'm playing", which seems fairly conclusive.

I think he sees himself as a headliner in this country now, which explains why he's headlining Latitude instead of (and not as well as) V and probably not at Glastonbury. Most of his talk about Glasto has been "I'd love to headline" hasn't it? Unless he reconsiders that I don't think he'll be back until the reunion.

Normally I'd that defo would rule him out after subbing T but Latitude headline and that gig in Manchester makes it look slightly different i think. Geoff will say what he has to but Noel wouldn't have been headlining T if they could get a stronger option. Both Muse, Foo's and Coldplay were all off the barrier. There other option too it either wouldn't or wasn't going to be.

He's also said after that I'll play anywhere. Don't take too much notice of Noel, he's a very sarky and tongue in cheek character.

Noel subbing the Roses on the Sunday night? That would be a good night out.

Okay but if you disregard anything he's said, I still think it's telling that he's only doing headline slots or outdoor shows on these isles when he has probably passed up sub slots at V, IOW and Glasto now.

I don't think he will play, but I think he's gone to and throw on everything he's said the only thing we really have to go at is he's hinted Glasto isn't happening but he's very much said in under the "don't" think term. He's got other tickets to sell or has shows to announce to sell, it's not like he's going to say he is there or they are in a sense due to how much he costs separately and how much a Glasto ticket holder pays with him included.

I'm seeing King Crimson in Cardiff. My mate is fanatical and got us the best seats in the house.

Nice one! Wanted to go see them on their tour but couldn't afford a ticket and knew no-one else who would go. In the Court of the Crimson King, though the obvious choice, is one of my favourite all time albums.

Will the new Muse album outsell Noels effort in the UK? I honestly do not know how popular Muse are as I do not know anyone that likes them, but that is surely just a demographic thing. I keep reading Muse are definite headline material but Noel is not. Yet both Noel/Oasis have been around a similar amount of time as Muse, yet I can't believe for a second that Muse have sold anywhere near the amount of records which Noel has managed in the UK.

How does Noels solo efforts compare to the latest Muse efforts?

Not sure about sales figures for their albums but I'd argue Muse are much bigger ticket shifters than Noel solo.

I am not after an argument fella , I am just genuinely interested. I find it hard to understand how someone who has sell out arena tours and high selling albums can be considered a weak headliner. Even with his solo stuff, his tours and albums have fared quite impressively.
