Really exciting to know there's a big chance the lineup is out this week, and that's we aren't even sure of 80% of the lineup!

Also, I'd like to be surprised and see the stone roses announced but I'm now feeling it's gonna be swift

God I'm worried how it's gonna go down though, if Foo Fighters, Kanye West and Taylor Swift are the trio. Wonder if some goers who've wanted to stop going to glastonbury for a while will finally throw in the towel :/

not sure i see the problem here. if they decide to stop going because of 3 acts across the whole weekend then i'd probably prefer if they weren't there anyway...

Those three are quite polarising headliners though, I can see why some might be a little put off by them.

I'm 100% with you on this, said it before but I don't think they'll expect everyone to shell out without the lineup. Whether you think it's all about the lineup or not that's certainly not the case for everyone

The problem is not so much the acts, it's the sort of people they would attract to the festival next year.

Those three are quite polarising headliners though, I can see why some might be a little put off by them.

It would be a very poor trio of headliners, abysmal in fact, but as has been said, it shouldn't be enough to put people off going.

It depends how much importance a person attaches to the Pyramid lineup in terms of their enjoyment of Glasto.

Personally it means very little but at the same time I'd like a reason to head over there a couple of times over the weekend.

tens of thousands of Taylor Swift fans aren't going to be shelling out £230 next year because she played this year (e: and probably wouldn't get a ticket anyway)

although given that people think she's actually in with a shout of headlining this year (and not subbing etc.), there must already be 50,000 Swift fans minimum attending anyway....

To the general youngster going to a festival for a general good time, who just likes music in general, FF, Kanye and TS would be more than an acceptable trio of headliners. Especially if you've never been to Glastonbury before.

To the battle hardened Glastonbury goers, who have more discerning taste in music, the above isn't going to get the creative jizz flowing.

However, those Glastonbury going folk also wont give a fuck about those 3 headlining the pyramid as they know that there is a plethora of other things to indulge in.

People who don't understand the importance of the Pryamid headliners really frustrate me.

Yes, we get it, these acts don't make the festival as there is so much else going on. But it is these acts who drive and promote the festival for the wider TV audience around the world. Glastonbury needs to maintain this high level of interest and publicity .. So bands continue to play in future for the lower fees on offer, realising the future gains.

Foos/Kanye/Madge would be a fantastic set of headliners, at least one of which is likely to appeal to the majority of people. Whether YOU like them or not, or find the headliners important, really is irrelevant to the bigger picture.

The other stage has the least atmosphere on anywhere in the site, it's just a huge expanse of slightly dodgy-smelling grimness. The wind whistles acorss it and it feels like the end of civilisation. The relief when you get to the Glade, or up onto the railway line is palpable. On this occasion, and this occasion only, Richey Manic may have had a point.

They've done a good job of keeping it under wraps this year, i'll give them that but it's so annoying
