Saw Kate Bush last weekend at Hammersmith - she says in her programme she wanted to find a more intimate venue than a big arena so she could do the whole theatrical effect so don't think a festival is quite her thing - although having said that the first bit was normal gig production so eminently transferable but cant see it - she likes to control the whole thing which is difficult at a festival. Sound and musicians were great though and Kate's voice was really strong. :)

It's only him and two others on stage, and he's a fairly rich man with a new album coming very soon, I'm sure he'd come along if he wanted to.

I think you're right. I get the impression that Kanye does exactly what he wants, and if he didn't fancy Glastonbury then there would be no persuading him. If he fancied it, it'd happen.

In terms of a headline 3:

Fleetwood Mac (seems to be one of the more likely, depending on which rumours you believe)

Beyond that I have no idea or preference really. Foos, AC/DC then a more "pop" act maybe (Bruno Mars or something, I don't know who passes for a big pop act).

It's not as simple as jumping on a plane with two other guys and rapping in different cities. He has a huge set to transport, including a mountain! He literally has to move mountains to play shows. Plus, why would he necessarily want to? He's never played the festival before or shown a stated desire to.

A lot say that Fake Plastic Trees basically invented Coldplay

my god what sacrilege is this!

whoever the c**t is in coldplay that plays guitar, they could never dream of recreating the sound in fake plastic trees. I am horrified.

Anyway, headliners are

prince

radiohead

stone roses

I have foreseen it.

It's more or less in the singing, you can't say that Chris Martin hasn't tried to replicate Thom Yorke's voice in FPT. Of course, he gets no where near. Fake Plastic Trees is one of the best songs EVER (that wasn't sarcasm, I bloody love that song. It made me love Radiohead)

Also, those headliners are ace, but didn't you have an epiphany where you 'found out' The Stone Roses were playing last year? ;)

Radiohead headlining would obviously be the best thing to happen next year on the planet

He'd sub

He doesn't like the fact that he can smell meat from the stage either. A veggie pyramid stage is an unhappy pyramid stage (unless you're already a veggie, ofc)

If he did a greatest hits of his own stuff and his Smiths stuff then I don't think there would be a headline band that would fancy following that.

Yes I did good memory you have! But I obviously misread the signs and was actually dreaming about 2015...

You're no doubt right about Chris Martin, can't blame him for trying though I suppose.

And yep Essex_George, I got a ticket luckily. It's a horrible thing really, knowing that so many poor sods missed out. I'm dreading seeing who of the regulars here missed out. I'm guessing that you got lucky too, if you're browsing this thread!
