RDB information isn't really that big though is it? If Glastonbury had booked Prince and wanted it this secret they wouldn't be telling RDB, and if they did they certainly wouldn't let him go blurting it out.

I think if RDB knew and Glastonbury didn't want him to mention it then he just wouldn't have said anything, or said he wasn't sure rather than saying Prince isn't doing any UK festivals.

I don't understand why Florence has been moved to Sunday when she could still do Friday sub?

Neil's thinking is that she's a sub for Prince who could then be bumped up to headliner if Prince falls through (and would fit in with Emily's 'she's not headlining, but she could be' comment about her)

He didn't say he wasn't. He said he didn't think he was. Which doesn't preclude the notion that he may be, but he just doesn't know about it.

Ok I have just spoken to an old Uni friend who has connections with the Stone Roses and he said he is 99% sure it is not them as he has not heard anything.

The rumors mainly started as they released a few new bits of merch that is all.

they were only ever a SR.

We all pretty much knew they were playing by assumptions, but i didn't have that nugget of 100% certain info that would have had me put them as TBC.

only because they have such a limited back catalogue to choose from (first album in entirety, couple of b-sides and a coupe from second album), whereas with Prince he could play... well... anything. notoriously unpredictable in his setlist choices

If the lad with the only piece of seemingly credible information on the Roses has now fallen quiet, it doesn't look likely.. as much as it pains me to see. There's a lot of people like me who are desperate to see it but it's all based on nothing really
