When he played Essence last year he added the NPG horns, singers, keys with 3rd eye girl to make the full NPG.

I never understood why Florence's only UK festival appearance would be a sub at Glastonbury? Especially in a year when she had an album to promote. Granted a Pyramid sub is fairly big .. But not huge. Headlining would make much more sense ... But then why not just announce it? .... Why this wait?

aye the album definitely doesn't seem like it's gonna fall on the commercial side of her first album if the first two released songs are anything to go by - i don't think Flo would have a problem subbing a mega-act like Prince (and possibly stepping up if needs be)

I can see myself really enjoying Prince if he plays, I'd reluctantly decide to stay for one song after Swift finishes (which IS happening, btw), be thinking "God I hate this purple prick, I'll see what the fuss is about, though". And then

He didn't say he wasn't. He said he didn't think he was. Which doesn't preclude the notion that he may be, but he just doesn't know about it.

and it'd definitely be in Glastonbury's best interest to keep a Prince headline set as hushed as possible, especially considering their supposed history with trying to get him etc. if any act requires such silence, it's him

I'm not the organisers, so I don't know the reason why the announcements have been staggered the way they have. Just like I don't know the reason every single other festival has staggered headliners, and for the most part, have been difficult to call this year, with probably the exception of Reading, which it appears was piss easy apart from Metallica.

As for it not being the same as before with how easy it's been leaked, maybe they're just doing better this year?

What cannot be countenanced - this much is true dear friends - is that the proprietor of this fair website suggested that Emile Sandé was a potential headliner...against the better judgement of his fair maiden into the bargain.

This level of grande pisstakery has had me yelling "AH FOR FUCKS SAKE!" at my computer screen more than once this winter.

I have not been asked to keep a lid on things. I do not know.

I have made a guess on Prince, based on a few different bits of info - not all about Prince - which have tenuously been linked together in a way that might be right but might also be wrong. I have not even moved Prince from 'rumour' status in the rumours, because there is nothing I know of to give it a better status than that.
