Are you sure they would keep the same day, I wanted to put a bet on but its for the Sunday night :(

I got a mail on Saturday - Ladbrookes are taking bets for any day.

I got the impression that FM had requested Friday for 2014, much as U2 requested the Friday and the Stones requested the Saturday.

If they have requested the Friday before then I suspect that's what they'll ask for this time too.

neither.

They're both simply guesses based on nothing more than the bands expected to be 'active' next summer.

Fair enough, one can still hope though, either of these would be excellent. Another curveball, Green Day are rumoured to be bringing an album out sometime next year, they're certainly big enough...

This Queen rumour.....

Are Glastonbury going for them cos having a headliner that couldn't sell out Sonisphere worked so well this year? :P

Maybe they want to cut demand back a little to those at one with the Glastonbury SpiritTM:P

Pyramid

Fm

Foos

Radiohead

Other

Royal blood

Pj Harvey

Calvin Harris

Park

War on drugs

Aphex twin

Tv on the radio

Royal Blood surely wouldn't headline other would they? I know their rise has been pretty meteoric but still can't see it. Third down maybe?

Also can't see Aphex Twin on Park... If here's there he'll be back in the Temple won't he?

Joy Division wish they were that good.

Joy Division/ New Order or Radiohead??

One set of musicians are ground breakingly inflential with a 30 odd year career of classic albums and pop hits. The other is a miserable guitar band.

I don't think Bernard Sumner will be losing much sleep about not being as good as Radiohead.

Probably stop now. You're not going to have a lot of joy advancing this POV on these boards.

And that's because you're wrong.

Pyramid:

Friday: Fleetwood Mac, Rihanna

Saturday: Daft Punk, The Libertines

Sunday: Foo Fighters, Biffy Clyro

Other:

Friday: The Prodigy

Saturday: Queen

Sunday: Florence

No substance to this at all, just a but of fun!

Good job too, seeing as you've got arguably 9 Pyramid headliners all playing in the same year :P. Certainly Rihanna and Biffy aren't subbing. Lower your expectations! I thought people might have after this year's Pyramid and Other headliners but apparently not.

Why is it certain that Biffy wouldn't sub?

No established major festival headliner has ever subbed Glastonbury (or certainly in the last 10 years anyway). The closest is probably Kasabian in 2009, but they had only headlined Creamfields at that point rather than any of the real heavy-hitters.

If anything it goes the other way round - see Kings of Leon, Beyonce, etc.
