if this is the case then it makes Emily's interview all the more strange (although Florence being there all together does that, as she claims she didn't know what she was up to)

Yeah, I'm not sure what the point in covering it up would be. Probably one of the more obvious headline possibilities and hardly legendary. I also wouldn't put her in the bracket off IOW not being able to get one over on Glastonbury. Maybe that's just opinion.

Genuine question - do people actually see Foo Fighters as a 'strong' headliner? I'll watch them, and I'll probably end up having a good time, but for me they're a little more of a Reading & Leeds-y type of act. Am I completely off the mark?

Saw them a few years back and they were ok, what you would expect really. The did have Alice Cooper as a surprise guest, that was pretty fucking good.

I`ll defo be going to see them as taking an 11 and 8 year old boys with us, the foo`s are something they can jump around to and enjoy

she didn't need to mention Florence at all in the interview, so the fact she did and then categorically denied her being a headliner (but said that she has the ability to) is the one thing that's lead to everybody thinking she's ruled out. would be incredibly infuriating if she turns out to be the final headliner (and as much as she still looms in that Sunday spot, i don't think she will be - as you said, in what way is that Glastonbury getting one over on IOW?)

Yes. As a band that's had 8 studio albums, countless top charting rock singles, a major TV show (just about to get a second series), played back to back dates at Milton Keynes bowl, had guest stars including Alice Cooper and Roger Taylor, and been a driving force in rock music for the last two decades.

They put on an awesome show when I saw them in MK, and they can easily get a field of 100,000 odd people jumping up and down like crazy! :) You'd have to be crazy to not accept that they are top drawer headliners.

2 of Radiohead's members playign the weekend before and after in poland and the Netherlands respectively doesn't mean they're out.

I'd be surprised though.

The secrecy points to P***** but personally I'd love Radiohead.

Why is this is so infuriatingly gripping?!

Well said. I think a lot of people box these headliners as weak based on personal preference

Kinda. You're spot on apart from the "probably" bit.

yes, if she didn't "know what she is up to", then she isn't playing Glastonbury.

if she does turn out to be playing, headline, sub or otherwise, then Emily has clearly told a fib.

Why are Radiohead being mentioned now?

I did think that there's an outside chance, given that they're supposed to have new material this year/next year and there's been nothing to rule them out.

Not sure how their set would go down, last tour had The King of Limbs featuring heavily on their setlists. I like that album but i reckon those songs would go down like a lead balloon on the pyramid stage

Neil mentioned them so he can break our hearts later today

Radiohead won't play, but if they did then they would be sure to play a setlist that was Glastonbury friendly, plus, a lot of The King of Limbs stuff is apparently incredible live, I didn't think In Rainbows would sound all that great live but it is amazing.

Saw them touring In Rainbows in about 2008 and it was absolutely incredible.

It's actually my favourite album of theirs.

The final headliner will become clear before the announcment I'm sure of it... I highly doubt that we will be guessing until the end. Just like mumford in 2013 it's probably who we don't want it to be :P but there's plenty of info to suggest it could be that act...

That's not a cryptic post by the way, it's just a statement, I highly doubt it's now going to be someone we would not have suggested or heavily discussed...
