tommyds
Let them have it, greedy old bastards. I remember well them being a universally hated band so this new clamour for them surprised me. Yeah, fuck off and blow some coke up yer arses, washed up w*nkers!
greenArmy12
It's cloudy and rainy today, it clouds and rains at glastonbury!!!! We could be getting an announcement tonight!!!
FrancisH
Considering how some people have acted it wouldn't surprise me if they held off the announcement, scare off the deadwood whining about Kanye, and leave the rest of us who will go regardless to find out after the payment window closes. morph100
I think they should release one name every day from now until the festival, a nice drip feed so we have something new to talk about each day :-)
ericlered
Must say i'm very pleased FM have rejected Glasto, would have been an awfully long two and a bit hours to hear 2 or 3 great songs. At most. Pretty sure i would be elsewhere on site if they were to play. Edited March 27, 2015 by ericlered

That would make a lot of sense to be honest. They would still shift all the returns without anyone being announced.
Fivefingerjohn
I think it's more likely after payment window because of the kanye thing. But really I just think it will be announced when the required contracts are signed
Matt42
Nah it'l come during the payment window guys, they'll see that people are holding off paying until an announcement and then rush release a small poster. Just like last year They won't keep it till after balance - if they do They'l just get further criticism from the goers.
surreysupermum
Glasto twitter account has tweeted a reminder about the balance payment I've got a twitter account... wish I knew how to use it.. makes no snse to me at all
Callum_96
I'm with Neil on this one, it will come when it comes, and the suspense and not knowing most of the line up will make it even better
morph100
I think they have pretty much always released a poster before or during the payment window haven't they? I know the "thing" is on here which tells us but I cant be bothered to go find it again.
H.M.V
I've just been sent a text with a presale code for Def Leppard and Whitesnake! Its a sign I tells ye!

I'd in-normal-circumstances guess something like that, but it seems strange that they'd announce over Easter when they'll get the least impact from it. The whole point in making an announcement is to get that impact. Difficult to call, I reckon.
Space Shanty
Is the desire to know the lineup always this manic? I mean, I'm looking forward to finding out but this thread resembles an asylum at times. The lineup will be somewhere between decent and very good. You will never, absolutely never, be stuck for something to see or do. It will be amazing. Relax and worry about something else

Wooderson
When alls said and done Isle of White will be another big "meh" and Glasters will be poured over and analysed to death.

Wooderson
I'm relieved Blur aren't playing tbh. Tempting as it would be the naysayers would be queuing up to knock it if they showed for Glasters again. Impossible to even get close to '09. Matt42
Let's not get confused with how the Glasto regulars look at it - I understand that a lot of people have this attitude that we don't need the lineup, but it's unfair to a lot of people who either aren't glastonbury regulars, or just genuinely care about the lineup. I'd say it's (not a bad type) ignorant to assume that everyone is "not getting glastonbury" if they want the lineup. It is a big part of a lot of people's festival, maybe not yours but it is fair to let people know what they are paying for in this economy. I'd say it's a bit pretentious to just say to people, "you don't need to know the lineup, just pay anyway" and expect everyone to be 100% okay. The point is, they can whine and moan about having to pay before knowing the line-up all they want. Yeah it's frustrating for them, but life is frustrating that way. In the end, it really doesn't matter - they'll love it. Edited March 27, 2015 by Mr November

I both agree and disagree - I think it's perfectly acceptable to pay without a lineup and to expect that, on the grounds that the lineup is granted to be good. However, that doesn't mean people can't want the lineup (I am craving it despite being ready to pay asap.) It's a different matter wanting it... to needing to know it before you pay. JoBalls
Can't you get a refund up to some date in May anyway? So as long as they release the line up before the refund deadline, then there shouldn't be an issue...
JoeyT
In this day and age surely announcing over easter isn't really a bad thing? Big media outlets still output. The news doesn't stop due to it being easter.
