I quite like Flo truth be told (please dont hate me) but even I had to turn off that abomination. If I had nads I would give my right one to see The Walkmen. Devastated I didn't get to Electric Picnic to see them before they went on hiatus.

H.M.V
I've seen them at Glastonbury. Read on Boards that their set at EP was powerful. Think that upset me the most out of all the stuff I could have seen. A lesson was learnt get your ticket when you gots the money and dont wait for others. The 38 year old virgin
I've seen them at Glastonbury.seen them loads, supported black keys, opened leeds festival, and bizarrely, at some church hall in Manchester that didn't serve booze. Met guy garvey at that gig
wrongturn
On the Glitter and Doom tour I flew to Paris AND paid over £100 for a ticket, so, pretty much all the crimes would be doable I saw him on that tour in Edinburgh - hands down one of the best gigs I've ever seen. Truly superb!

strummer77
Summer '13 wasn't as good as summer '12. Nah Summer 13 in Cardiff was superb. He was on great form at IOW though in 12. The redeeming feature of an awful festival
Leggins
I was no Bruce fan, when back in 2005/6?? I was asked by a friend who had a spare ticket if I wanted to go see him at The Millennium Stadium, which I did and it was immense. To be honest he hardly played any songs I knew but that didn't matter. He was awesome. Downloaded the back catalogue on my return and love him now. No one should be tampering with Thunder Road though. That song shouldn't be covered. Ever.

The redeeming feature of an awful festival The full album shows in '13 weren't my preference. Don't get me wrong - they were still superb... The preshow I saw him play in Limerick will live forever in the memory. However Night #2 Dublin in '12 is the best of my 15 Bosstime gigs. AdamWillingham
Be warned, I don't post on eFestivals that often but I am a bit of a lurker and I just thought on a fun Friday night I would collate all the headliners I could think of and make a little list of why they can/can't headline this Sunday at Glastonbury. I know that some of the facts may be wrong. Also, whether they are playing or not in some cases is opinion. Paul McCartney Pretty active recently, an album out last year and featuring and producing some of Kanye's work. Already been announced for a handful of festivals around the world, Firefly 19th June, Roskilde 4th July, so plenty of gap to pop to Glastonbury. Is also active doing his 'Out There' tour. Would he do it again? More to the point, would Eavis ask him again? He wouldn't top 2004 set, I wasn't there but from what I've heard, his voice has been deteriorating for a while now. I would personally love it as I have never seen Paul and would be an experience. Think he is more likely to come out with Kanye for a few songs on the guitar, if he is there at all that is. Foals I initially mentioned them as maybe being another band that was being given the bump up to headliner. Was originally thought wouldnt be doing anything this summer but have been announcing a few festivals over the summer and free Glastonbury weekend. Simply no where near big enough, haven't released any new material, or increased in size since their 2013 set on other stage. If at Glastonbury this year, I could see them headlining other stage, but can definitely see them headlining Reading/Leeds next year. The National Again another case of a band who thought were taking a break in the studio this summer, also one that could be given the bump up. As much as I would love to see them headlining, I just can't see it happening. Easily big enough for other stage headliner though. Maybe a strong pyramid sub after next album. Fleetwood Mac 'Worldwide Festival Exclusive' for Isle of Wight, but what do exclusives mean these days. Just a way of trying to shift tickets if you ask me. Both Eavis & Mick Fleetwood have flat out denied it, as much as I would love it to be them it won't be. Radiohead In the studio making their new album, so will be unlikely. I know a lot on here would love to see them but I dont think it'll be happening this year, maybe next time. Blur Have ruled out doing it on the radio. Just been announced for Isle of Wight. Not happening this year. Prince Murmurs that Rob Da Bank knew some of Prince's plans this summer and as far as he was aware this didn't involve any festivals in the UK. Was in the spotlight for last year but potentially fell apart due to the heavy rumours and many people tying Prince's name to the festival which he did not like. Wouldn't be surprising if it was him this year as the headliners have been kept under such a strong wrap the Eavis would not have wanted a repeat of last year and didn't want to scare him off again. Entirely possible. Stone Roses There has been a lot of talk about them on here recently and I'm not sure where this rumour has come from, to me it just seems like one of those yearly rumours that they'll be playing (please correct me if I am wrong). They have been pretty inactive for the last two years but it wouldn't be out of the realm of possibility for them to come and play. Muse It was looking likely after being announced for Download but are now busy at Rock Wertcher on the Sunday. Not them. Florence & The Machine Emily said in an interview with eFestivals that she was not headlining but could. I assumed she meant that she was big enough to headline. But, it wouldn't surprise me if that she meant at that point she wasn't headlining but since then has been given the bump up due to Sunday plans falling through. If Prince plays, could see Florence as a sub. Oasis Not happening. Coldplay Emily outright said they weren't headlining. Noel Gallagher's HFB Has said that he would happily play but hasn't been asked. Playing two dates before in Europe and another on the 1st July. Definitely a tight Glastonbury hole, but not looking likely for me. Adele Emily has expressed extreme interest in Adele before. In the studio working on her next album so not looking like it'll happen. Still hasn't got over her performing phobia so its a no. David Bowie I wish. Madonna She is free for Glastonbury weekend with a new album to promote and a tour coming later in the year. Could the fact her new album has received tepid reviews and been her worst selling album for along time affect her place at headlining? Quite possibly. I personally, don't think she is a big enough 'legend' or current enough to headline, I'm sure many will disagree with me. Queen & Adam Lambert Been denied by the Eavis, not happening. Elton In Germany on the Sunday. Take That It would bring their UK tour to a close. They are free and could possibly do it. I personally just don't think that Take That will be there, it's just a personal feeling based on no fact whatsoever, just pure opinion. AC/DC They were heavily rumoured at the early stages. As people waited for their tour schedule to be announced to assess their likelihood of playing. With the rumours of their massive stage show being difficult to do on the pyramid, could they drop their show for the festival or not? Playing Scotland on Sunday. Kylie Minogue I just don't think she is big enough. Since being asked to headline in 2005 she has faded out more and more. I can't see it I'm afraid. Rhianna A total possibility if her an Kanye are said to be touring together. However, I feel as though she could easily just pop up in Kanye's set rather than having her own. Taylor Swift It has been all quite on the Swift front recently, Michael said that he thought she would've been great last year in the slow succeeding Dolly Parton. Some people on here would go ever so slightly mental if she did play however. She already has dates on 27th, 30th, and 31st and it seems as though 28th is her rest day. I dont think they have managed to get her this year.

Gucci Piggy
I doubt The National will be a strong sub after another album. I also don't think they're easily big enough to headline Other atm. Could maybe do it at a push, but I don't think there'd be a huge crowd. They should headline the entire thing, though.

Frankly Mr Shankly
id agree......not at glastonbury their not......like it or not, argue how you want this is not a festival which people think of as a cheesy pop radio 1 big weekend kind of deal as far as the headliners go. and long may that be the case, mainstream pop music gets enough exposure after all in modern times! leave that for v fest and the aforementioned big weekend radio 1 bash`s no problem with poppy artists appeearing further down the bill such as lilly allen last year...... but headlining? hell no! Fivefingerjohn
I can't believe some people don't think Madonna is headliner material. I'm far from a fan and am praying it's not her but to say she's not headline material is ridiculous. Is she not the most successful pop artist? (I don't know this I can't be arsed checking but she's not far off) Did people forget with the hole falling over thing that she was the main event at The Brits and before it (and certainly after) the radio and TV were banging on about her performing. Did she not get a full Jonathan ross show to herself. Like I say I'm no fan but u gotta put personal feeling aside and realise how big she is. DJL
it's about Blur playing the IoW, which I've known of with certainly for quite a while. Why did they stay just an R Neil (just curious), which i believe they were just before announcement? Because you couldn't reveal it, didn't get around to updating the rumours page etc?
