I believe Lucky will be right as he was about Leeds and DL. So Foo's is one of the headliners... hmm.

I have seen them before at Leeds in 2012 and although they were good I dont think I will bother again! I get to explore some other stages so thats good :D

Dont really know who I want to be the other two headliners though. FM would be amazing but its looking unlikely... AC/DC would be crap IMO and I cant think of anyone else obvious.

why is it looking unlikely? I thought they were pretty much dead certs to play?

according to FM forums mick said in a meet and greet they don't wanna do glastonbury

salt must be pinched though

Hmmmm... if I had to choose three headliners who I'd think were going to be headlining the Pyramid next year, Fleetwood Mac would be first. They're the ones who I thought were pretty much guaranteed to play?

They have been the guaranteed headliner choice for about 3 years now, we've had the same almost every year.

My daughter was a fan, until she saw them, and she joined the third type of person, the people who've listened too much. She said it just went on & on & on &....

No, what happened there was she's always been a person who hasn't listened to The Cure enough, she just thought she was a fan. If she isn't able to appreciate the great and powerful aural beauty woven by Robert Smith at length, she hasn't listened to The Cure enough to acknowledge and experience the celestial forces at play there.

I don't know, their attempt to integrate a live band at the Grammys fell completely flat. If they do live shows again, they should just stick to the DJing format of Alive, it's what they're best at. I actually think Alive is the best thing they ever did.

Agreed, Alive was and still is the best show I've had the pleasure of seeing 'live'.

I'm not sure they would risk the band thing. But then saying that they were quite happy to release RAM which even though its a very well made album which has made them a fair bit of dosh, its not really Daft Punk is it?

I don't usually allow myself to get wistful about gigs I didn't go to, but I make an exception for Alive. I would give so much to have seen it.

Why live in inverted commas though? I was under the impression they mixed it live, or am I wrong on that one?

And to think Wireless got them...

It was a pre-mixed show to the extent they played around with certain effects and various points. At least i think it was. I've heard at least three shows from that tour and they all sound pretty similar to me. Can't knock it though, a master piece in my eyes.

Tbh, I find it hard to imagine. Not saying it wouldn't be aces, but turning the early albums into things that could be done with a full band.. That just boggles my pumpkin.

I'd be there, obvs.

To be fair, that one time they used Phoenix as their full band in Madison Square Garden was fucking incredible.

I for one would love Pharrell to figure in the Headliner equation, with or without Daft Punk

No, keep that man away from Glastonbury. The fact that he's such an airless, soulless presence as a pop star only makes the fact that he's a sleazebag seem even more noticeable. Edited by Winslow Leach
