Zoo Music Girl
It's been impossible keeping up with this thread this year. Got to be this week surely? Despite my curiosity about headliner number three I'm just keen for the line up in general now or at least an initial draft. Bought my tent yesterday and am primed to pay balance. I AM READY

kalifire
It's definitely this week. the question is when? Well if the Festival follows through on what they told Neil, it won't be before Wednesday. Common wisdom says they won't release on April Fools Day and nobody can see them announcing on Good Friday. Just leaves Thursday in the mix. If Madonna is revealed tomorrow, they'll probably want to let her have her time in the spotlight for a couple of days as well. I'm saying Thursday (but will be checking probably multiple times a day anyway). Edited March 30, 2015 by kalifire
Guest
My guess is April 2nd with a TBC for the Sunday headliner.
Woffy
Hahaha, if we didn't have something, we'd probably be sectioned. This thread has been an incredible ride really, rollercoastering through highs and lows, credible rumours and absurd unlikelihoods. I'll almost be sad to see the focus shift on clashes and practicalities. It's been a trip. This gets an upvote when I'm on my laptop in a bit, Kali. ghandi
Personally I doubt it will be until near the end of April, as recent releases have been either end of April or may, we may get a draft in a few weeks though. Sorry but I feel we are just a bit premature, I hope I'm wrong though .

dentalplan
well she has a new album to promote (which is apparently her worst selling album since the early 90s), so it's not really that surprising that she's doing these interviews/PR all over the place... Yeah her album and tour have both gone on sale in this month and neither have sold very well. There's nothing suspicious about the timing of the interview. No idea why she'd be off on radio to promote her slot at a sold out festival.

Hugh Jass
No idea why she'd be off on radio to promote her slot at a sold out festival. The theory would be that headlining an event as popular as Glastonbury screams to the world that you're still relevant.

stuartbert two hats
Jack white and arcade fire have done the same Wasn't this covered a couple of pages ago and it's all to do with Jay-Z launching a music streaming service?
kalifire
No idea why she'd be off on radio to promote her slot at a sold out festival. The interview would be about her album and other stuff, but if Glastonbury were to reveal a headliner, then the night before the balance payments are due, on the BBC radio, with a presenter the with whom the festival has a long-standing relationship, would seem apt, wouldn't it? Especially when you factor in that the Eavii have had Madge on their wish list for years now.
CaledonianGonzo
I suspect she maybe has rather a lot of tickets still to sell for her tour later on in the year. Glasto's a pretty good shop window.

Can't see her performing whatever her latest set list is gonna be... Performs a greatest hits on the Pyramid...on tv... ...people think, 'i'm up for seeing that'... ...buy tickets for her tour... ...totally different show / set list. Can't see it. Unless: She goes on Jo Wiley and states clearly that's what she's gonna do. "Glasto...iconic festival...greatest hits set...not everyone is yoyr fan at a festival..." blah blah. Glasto's a pretty good shop window. Considering it's £140+ a ticket and it'd be just to see what you'd just seen on telly but in the flesh, I don't completely agree. Even if Madonna's people generously offered to have Madonna play, I think they'd do a runner when they heard the fees they were paying out. GlastoSimon
Just me who thinks Madge just isn't the sort of act who'd want to play Glastonbury? Low fees, fair bit of pressure if she's shit or plays the wrong setlist etc.

sime
I normally read this thread before work, at lunchtime and then when I get home but I'm startting to get 'the feeling' that somethings going to get announced in the next day or so, so I think my work may suffer a bit today!
