JGP
I remember there was another food thread similar to this one but I'm not taking any cooking equipment with me and need suggestions for cheapish food items I can take which don't need to be heated up and will ideally last as long as possible. All I can think of is snack items and tins of cold beans... not quite glamping it out this year.
melsypelsy
Bounce protein balls are awesome! there not the cheapest things but they are yummy and filling, we are taking some for our Wednesday A.M queuing as we are sleeping in the car Tuesday pm, you can buy them in Holland & Barrett £1.90 each :0) https://www.bouncefoods.com/uk/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=17&Itemid=78 @melsyo
Sky_Fly
Eat bars or other cereal bars or your choosing. Bananas. Burgen bread and packs of pre-sliced cheese keep reasonably well out of the fridge for a few days if it isn't mega hot, even better if you have cool box. Peparami or chorizo or other salami thing. Individual cartons of juice. All of this takes up quite a lot of room though and I'm not entirely convinced how much cheaper it would be than just buying food there? Personally I'd got for burgen and peanut butter sandwiches for lunch, eat bars and a banana for breakfast if I was on a money saving cold food regime and buy dinner. musky
Unless this is part of some bizarre cold food challenge, isn't the Hare Krishna tent an option? It might get to be a bit much for all 3 meals every day, but it'd take the heat off (so to speak) for at least one meal a day.

musky
It's definitely not some weird challenge haha. Am I stupid to ask what the Hare Krishna tent is?
JGP
The Hare Krishna tent provides food for all those who feel the need for sustenance or just something hot in their stomachs. They don't charge or even ask for any money in exchange but those who can afford it may want to drop whatever they feel is appropriate into the tin. The food is vegi and can be a bit bland depending on what they're serving at the time, but a little ingenuity by bringing at little flavouring can work wonders if you feel it's needed. It's usually found somewhere just to the east of the Glade area, near the recharge tent.
