samanthaaa
So it's my first time at T in the park and I was just wondering what camping areas people think are the best and what each area is like? I'm just wanting to have a good time but also be able to get a bit of sleep!

PatsInThePark
We always camp in Blue now and it's a good mix. Not too quiet but on the other hand not too mental like Red! It's a bit of a walk away but with the new entrances and exits from the arean it isn't anywhere near as bad as it used to be.

Kittentardd
fine just depends who u get next to you really, u could go to the quietest campsite in the world and be next to a total arsehole, its luck of the draw but i stayed in green in 2012 and was fine even during the floods
Angelab0409
Honestly I think you are better camping where ever you can get pitched, after the walk of death and if it's really busy don't get your hopes up on any one area. Try and stay off the paths and don't pitch at the bottom of a hill incase of floods again, enjoy!
PatsInThePark
Yip, just as above, don't set your sights on a specific place and just go with the flow. About 5 years ago we all wanted to camp in white as that's where we camped the year before, turns out it was full and we couldn't get camped. We ended up camping in Blue and haven't moved since. We love it!
AndyPark
I've seen the term "walk of death" banded around a few times. Someone fancy explaining this....

Angelab0409
Hahaha I have a big supermarket basket for my booze and it's great, so the walks much easier, other than the big rucksack with sleeping bag and chair attached! Best thing I've done is tangerine fields, that no carrying and pitching a tent is bloody brilliant!
AndyPark
I should be alright, got a huge camping bag alongside a bag full of beer. Going to attach my sleeping bag and chair to the camping bag whilst my friend carries the tent.
Angelab0409
You should look I to be chilled if it's cans of beer you are taking, just pile everything on and go for it, if you stop can always open a can!
T-Bhoy
First walk of death i done was horrible, wasnt expecting it at all, ended up drenched in sweat when i got to the entrance. As said pack light, first year i didnt have a clue and was carrying loads plus 2 crates.Thank God for be chilled. Now during the walk all i have is the big ruck sack on my back as i tie my tent and sleeping bag to it and get my booze inside. I feel a slight shame seeing all the first timers struggling and moaning just like me years ago.
T-Bhoy
Blue or Yellow we camp.Perfect set up.Bit of walk but if you take a can for the walk its sound.Walk got alot shorter though with the new set up.
sammo94
After i done the walk of death my first year i remember thinking " this canny be worth it". You live and learn i guess as now it seems like a doddle, the past 3 years i've used a pully from B&Q with big wheels to carry all my beer, just tie my sleeping bag and tent to my rucksack and i'm jammin'. The past 3 years we've camped in purple, it's always been a good laugh and not too tonto like red
dcr1972
Does exactly as it says on the tin. It referes to the walk from where you get dropped off with the bus/some of the car parks to the campsite. It is a nightmare walk and many people underestimate it. It's nothing short of torture. The less you need to carry the better!
sammo94
Never been, however it says on the Citylink website that they drop you right at the entrance, does this make the "walk of death" a lot less bareable I'd imagine? I'm bringing a pop up tent and a chair so carrying the stuff will be pretty brutal I'd imagine haha.
tori1607
I envy every single person i see getting off those citylink buses. I'm nearly at deaths door by the time i arrive at the queue. Makes that first can all the better though.

Angelab0409
I get the city link for that reason alone! Find it much easier and more fun!
