Arriving by car to Worthy View

Any thoughts on state of queues in terms of traffic to get into Worthy View mid-morning on Wednesday? With the increased capacity could be carnage.

I think you'll be fine - there were no queues at all last year, so definitely a bit of slack in the roads. A lot of folks buy WV tickets because they need to arriver later on (Thurs / Fri) and don't want to face the difficulty of finding a camping spot on the main site then.

We arrived about noon last year and no problems.I seem to remember someone selling cider at the roadside before you get there.I may well be tempted this year !

We are staying in Frome tonight and want to get to WV car park tomorrow morning. Can anyone suggest the best route to avoid traffic queues?

I'm coming from the south A303/A371. Anyone know if Wraxall Road through Ditcheat is definitely going to be open? I've looked at the road closures PDF, but no mention of it, so assume it's open as it has been in previous years. Hope so, as the back road which leads to WV is directly opposite (have to cross A37). Although thinking might just head up A371 to A37 roundabout and stick to main road.

Decisions, decisions. Not made easier in that I'm driving there on my own for the first time this year and had a horrible experience trying a back route in 2010!

Not me. Heading down after taking my youngest to school for 5:30am :/ And no need to fight for a tent space this year,yayy!
