Family camping with older children

We are going to Glasto with our 16 year old son and his aunt so we are a 'family' and would ideally like to camp at Cockmill Meadow or Wicket Ground. Does anyone know if you have to have young children to camp in these spaces?

You will not have any problems with a 16 year old. I camped on Wicket Ground over the past few years and there were plenty of families with older children and even a few elder Glastonbury attendees camping on this site. Have a good festival!

Agree. You're 'supposed' to have kids under 12, but the stewards know a family when they see one. We've always had teenagers in our extended group and had no issues staying in family camping areas. You might find Wicket ground a better option than Cockmill, which understandably tends to attract people with younger kids as it's next to the Kidz Field.

We camped in Wickets last year, youngest child with us was 15 and we had no problems. As said above there were also "older" couples with no children who were allowed in too.

Cockmill gets very busy and full and they could be more inclined to only allow younger children in. But I don't know really, we stopped camping there when our children were about 10 as I feel Cockmill gets so rammed and the limited space is best left for those with small children as it's near the Kidz field and more central for little legs to walk to and from.
