1) Metallica. Because Metallica.

2) Royal Blood - Just absolutely smashed it.

3) Marmozets - No-one there, felt like I was hit by a train and felt like it was about to collapse at any moment. Great.

4) Jack White Thought it was great, a band just jamming it out.

5) Subways always look like they have the best time too, Which is always great!.

Honorable Dolly mention. Just a real show, honed to perfection.

Arcade Fire, Metallica, Danny Brown, St. Vincent, Young Fathers

really enjoyed all of the sets i saw at the Park stage this year. both the performers and the crowds watching were spot on; such a relief going to such a chilled out, good time stage after being at the Pyramid / Other and people being utter twats

and those two Pyramid headliners were just brilliant

TWOD, Kelis, Heaton/Abbott, Deltron 3030, Disclosure

The War on Drugs sounded particularly ace, thought it might have been better to put them on a smaller stage but I thought they sounded perfectly suited for the stage. Small but grateful crowd as well.

Dolly (I actually cried when she talked about her 'sweet old mama')

Newton Faulkner (wow)

Robert plant (did loads of Zeppelin but his new stuff sounded great too)

Elbow - they always manage a beautiful sunset gig

Bonobo - beautiful

Also caught the wailers, heaton and Abbott, goldrfrapp and more who all sounded great cleft me wishing I'd see more of them

Pixies

Dolly Parton

Arcade Fire

Blonde

The Black Keys

Also impressed with Metallica, The Daptones Super Soul Review and the English National Ballet.

Slightly disappointed by Jack White and Massive Attack - would have been nice if they had played more of their hits.

Brilliant weekend :-)

ah can't believe i forgot about The War On Drugs. what a fanatic way to start my festival proper. worked really well on the Pyramid i thought, although would've been better with a longer set (and if they weren't up against Blondie who i imagine absolutely devoured any crow they could've / would've had)

1. Arcade Fire - was probably always going to be the case, just a very special moment for me.

2. Lana Del Rey - never listened to more than one of her songs, didn’t even intend to stay, but I actually did a small cry. Mesmerising.

3. St Vincent - I know a lot of people don’t like the choreography but I think it works brilliantly.

4. Public Service Broadcasting - another one I’d never listened to before, shame I only saw half because I watched the first couple of Dolly songs (no idea why).

5. De La Soul - Great start to the weekend.

Jon Grant sounded great from my shift at the Stone Bridge bar, too. Didn’t really see a lot else, nowhere near as much as I’d hoped. Tune-Yards were very good, Warpaint decent. Biggest disappointments for me were the Manics, Blondie, and The Horrors (maybe it’s the stage). Wish I’d seen Massive Attack and Pixies.
