    1959

Went to the first of the auditions for Pilton Party and the first band was from a local college - they bought their fans with them. A pint of coke and 20 straws. They be only young uns and need MUCH more gigging practice before they could play a big stage. They also killed (in a bad way) a Biffy Clyro song which didn't help their cause. The second band were good - even Michael liked them. But they were a little older and obviously had gigged far more.

Ah ok. Been to a LOT of gigs like that, reviewing. Very hard work sometimes!

Are you going to travel ooop north to get a fuller eclipse?

I have a Meade ETX90-EC with Maksutov-Cassegrain optics and a 1250mm focal length with which I intend to project the eclipse image onto a whiteboard nailed to shed, thus increasing it's size.

So yeah; don't be cloudy, don't be cloudy, etc.

Oooohh excited, an almost full solar eclipse will be happening on Friday. Please dont be cloudy please dont be cloudy please dont be cloudy

Fav Bond has got to be Mr Connery. Roger Moore makes my skin crawl. Something utterly creepy about him.

Did I read somewhere that there could be power cuts in some areas due to the lack of solar powered energy being generated due to the eclipse?

So, I'm officially goosed. Hen night went on til 5am and I was up at 7am. Decided to drive down to Nottingham to surprise mother dearest and take her out to lunch. Bought her a bouquet which is currently in a tall cup and a teapot as she is renovating and can't find a vase. Lovely day had by all but feeling the effects now.
