Holiday today, but Mrs Jeffie has a migraine, so my potential slight sleep in has become the school run.

We came home yesterday to one less in the tank but fish are a bit more, umm, disposable than furries aren't they?

Gonna try and explain my weekend in a few posts.

Thursday we flew into Amsterdam for a bit of pre-Marillion Weekend drinkies. We'd planned to go for a pancake but got thee a bit later than planned after a bit of shenanigans finding the right train from Schipol (they make it so easy and we still cocked it up!). So pancake place was shut. Too much choice in Amdam, much TripAdvisor consulting later and we still ended up at Hard Rock. Couldn't be arsed to wait 45 minutes so went to the steak place next door. It was very good but no idea why we trekked all that way.

So we trekked back to the usual meeting place, the Tara. Amdam does a nice line in Irish bars! Met lots of American fans who had come over and lots of our usual crowd. Was sensible and turned in around midnight...

Dogs/Cats with head shaking can be 'normal' so we were told. One of our cats does it lots and there is nothing wrong with him apart from getting stuck in the cat flap last night while I was trying to fix the tv ariel whilst trying to get my mother to actually listen to what people say to her whilst ..............................
