i confess i was a tad befuddled at the 'fake friday' thing this morning.

is it easter this weekend as well?

I would say which is my fave track from Why Make Sense? but it is so seriously good.

I have been dancing around the kitchen whilst chopping veg.

I do thankfully have all my fingers and thumbs intact.

Sorry, can I just say again how bloody great it is that HMV is sorted, but moreover how people rallied pretty much immediately to help out a kindred spirit.

I bloody love this place.

i confess i was a tad befuddled at the 'fake friday' thing this morning.

is it easter this weekend as well?

It is Easter indeed so any knowledge of what day it is will vanish pretty soon.

Imagine being a public servant - they get this afternoon off too - Maunday Thursday. When I was one I had no idea I got the afternoon off so was still working away when everyone went home!

So I went to the pub

At the mo, I think it's the closing, title track that just gets it for me.

Still didn't get any takers for Drenge after yesterday's enquiry - superceded, entirely appropriately, by HMV's travails.

Anyone listened to the new Drenge record? Seriously good grungy, guitary stuff. Like Royal Blood. But this time well-written, with tunes, and not Emperor's New Clothes bollocks!

It's terrific, slo.

An obvious step up in terms of song-writing and production compared to the first record, which I also really like.

Did you know they've added a bassist? Fills the sound out beautifully, without reducing them to a standard 3-piece rock combo.

Saw them at Latitude in 2013 and they were terrific.

i have my phone auto-backup to photobucket which gives an IMG link to post pics on my phone, dunno if this is of any use to you, but it works.

This was true up until a few (maybe 10) years ago, my Mum was a civil servant and was VERY annoyed when they stopped the automatic Maunday Thursday afternoon off! Very annoyed.
