Gucci Piggy
Are they more popular than Massive Attack (genuine question, assumed Massive Attack were bigger)?
eastynh
Are they more popular than Massive Attack (genuine question, assumed Massive Attack were bigger)? Massive Attack were bigger than Portishead. Portishead were the media darlings.
sjseabass
I imagine playing basically no gigs ever contributed to Portishead getting that slot too
dirtymookie
So belle and Sebastian seem to be adding lots of dates around may, where would they fit in? Also, where would the tune yards play??
sjseabass
So belle and Sebastian seem to be adding lots of dates around may, where would they fit in? Also, where would the tune yards play?? The former seem like a perfect Park headliner to me. Or feasibly John Peel headliner instead. Could just be shoved mid-afternoon on Other, but I think a headline slot elsewhere is more likely. tUnE-yArDs (no 'the') had a prominent slot on West Holts this year, so I doubt she'll be back. Unfortunately, as I had to miss her due to clash hell.
The Placid Casual
Yeah, Belle and Sebastian would most probably headline the JP tent if they were to play

I'm sure that's what we got in 2009. Edited October 28, 2014 by fatyeti24

Woffy
And the "are miles and miles and miles better" factor ^ FACT. Revision to my earlier ideal line up: Radiohead PJ Harvey Leonard Cohen Lykke Li XX Aphex Twin Jason Lytle Let's finish the evening with a late night Jamie XX DJ set...wherever. Plus Andy Weatherall. Fuck the order. I win best booker of the universe EVER.
Mezhyp1
The Streets? Still think Bloc Party would give them a run for Hiatus-Comeback gigs, although saying that I expect Kele to be at glastonbury solo in some form

Woffy
Blur are kings of the 'final gig'. Fairly sure Sinatra has that title. Orbital can't be far off.

Bisque
they were phenomenal. Still annoyed about no mercury I'll always remember my ex-girlfriend wearing two pairs of tights for the gig as it was so cold. Is that normal? Anyway Bloc Party reunion in 2015! (They didn't actually split up this time did they? Just said they was doing other things for a bit and it will be a while before they come back?..Apart from the drummer, he left during the tour )
