Other Stage Headliners 2015

Hot Chip playing Governors Ball at the start of June, can we start dreaming now?

wouldn't be surprised to see them subbing Alt-J tbh. i know they subbed Other last time but i don't think they've done enough to make the bump up (and can't really think of where else they'd play - too big for JP headline?)

Yeah I just saw the line up and came to the thread to say 'please can we have Bjork!!!!' I sadly missed her at Bestival because, well because I was in an absolute state somewhere else on site.

I think some of the artists on that line up should give a pretty decent idea of what we may expect? Or would that just mean they are likely to be on the US festival circuit at the time?

If Jake Bugg can do it.... I know I know the circumstances are different :P

But imagine how good a proper a headline set from Hot Chip would be!

I think I've seen Hot Chip about 5 times now, every time they have been brilliant although nowhere near an Other Stage Headliner in my opinion, just because I don't recall them having any extra commercial success with their most recent album? So no reason for them to come back and play any higher than they did in 2010.

Absolutely amazing live version of And I Was a Boy From School at 7:05:

As much as I love Hot Chip on record + love their live arrangements, Alexis' live vocals are really badly out of tune quite often. By far the biggest weak point, and kinda hard to ignore.

A shame, because the rest of the band are excellent live, especially Al.

Hot chip are my favourite live bands. Saw them headline one of the smaller london festivals and late at night in Spain... much better in the dark. I'd so love them to be other stage headliners but if not they were a good sub at latitude.

Other subs usually play slightly later than pyramid right? I'd take them before bjork or new order but before chemical brothers? That would probably be the highlight of my festival...

Before NIN (seeming unlikely) would be pretty special too

Yeah, unfortunately can't see NIN being anywhere as they'd of probably already been announced for some festivals.

NIN at Glasto has the ability to be one of the best sets ever.

I know they did 2000, but I was only two at the time so 'didn't really know about them'.

I can't see them do 2015, but hopefully with some new matter 2016 could be the year.

Blimey, usually it's me making everyone else on these boards feel old. Stop being so bloody youthful.
