Other Stage Headliners 2015

Out of interest why would you use Catfish but then acronymise the rest of their name? Why not CATBM? Or as Bottlemen is one word, CATB? I guess it's the same principle at Carter USM, but Catfish ATB doesn't quite have the same ring to it. Rage ATM doesn't sound right either. I propose that if they aren't famous enough to be recognised by a full acronym then the full name should be used, or maybe just the first word (Catfish, Rage). But then again I wouldn't called Pulled Apart By Horses just Pulled, but I think their acronym has been used enough to be recognisable by a certain crowd. Would anyone know that CATB would be used in reference to Catfish and the Bottlemen, even on a festival forum? It certainly is a doozy. Florence is an obvious one that works on all three levels (Florence, Florence ATM, FATM). I guess the best we can hope for is that common sense is applied and each case judged on it's individual merits.

Anyway, no fucking way would they headline the Other stage.

This is the peak of efestivals, everything after this is a let down.

Ronson's got some belting singles (Ooh Wee and Bang Bang Bang along with the current one to name 3). His live show is a struggle because of the variety of guests he has on his tracks. Trying to recreate verses with different rappers doesn't work for me.

His family are well rich as well so he'd be hated on here.

I'd say so, their tour in February/March (can't remember which) has sold out already and it's mainly Academies iirc.

looking at acts on 2014's JP lineup, Catfish will definitely be in the upper regions imo. they may be shite but they're very popular. if Chance The Rapper can be second from top then this lot definitely can

Maybe I have some sort of psychological childhood trauma due to Ronson and his recycling of 70s funk records and venting my still valid opinion on an internet forum helps the healing process.

definitely not Download exclusive. they aren't big enough (in the Glastonbury world) to headline Other, but second or third down would do them just fine. got my fingers crossed for this one - would be brilliant
