Bastille is (thankfully) a Reading exclusive isn't he? replace him with Alt-J and that looks about right headliner wise. don't think FKA twigs is big enough for that slot, and Belle & Sebastian will probably headline the Park imo. also reckon George Ezra will be on the Pyramid. reckon Jamie T could take one of those sub slots

i thought bastille were an exclusive, i'm sure i heard that somewhere and I'm not totally making that up? (someone please confirm) until they were announced for board masters near me the following day!

FKA Twigs not quite big then? I assumed she was quite popular as the troglodytes I work with have heard her music on Radio 1. I had glorious scenes in the old mind's eye of a day where I saw Neneh Cherry, FKA Twigs and Bjork back to back, and died of happiness shortly after.

FKA Twigs' album didn't really do anything for me but I saw some photos from one of her shows recently and it looked pretty interesting. I'd probably see her just out of curiosity.

I went to her gig on Thursday at the Roundhouse and it was incredbile, I have seen her play a couple of times before that and she has got better and better. I can only describe the show on Thursday as a complete theatrical performance, she would definitely need to play in the dark though for her stage show to work, would definitely work as West Holts or Park headliner.

It took me a while to warm up to the album, I discarded it for a while after release, it's only quite recently I've been listening to it nearly constantly.

I'd love to see her at one of her own gigs, but I've seen footage of her performing in daylight at an outdoor festival and it still looks good, does she have enough of a set at the moment to justify a Park or WH headline set, in place of some of the established heavy hitters currently being mooted for those slots on here?

Maybe I'll give it another go, will report back. Remember that Disclosure headlined WH with only one album to their name, although admittedly I thought they'd have benefited from a shorter set, it seemed to be stretched quite thin in the middle.

Her Roundhouse show ran to nearly 2 hours, and if she releases another EP of the new tracks between now and then, if we take Disclosure headlining WH on the back of one album then I can't see why not

I was at the friday show. Agree with this. Was fucking amazing, as said felt like a theatrical performance rather than a gig and darkness would be pretty essential for her - people predicting her to play early pyramid on the "stage predictions" thread are hopefully wrong as she would be dreadful in that kind of slot with an ambivalent crowd yet would be simply awesome headlining west holts or park (would definitely see her again, unless a killer clash were to happen)

they were / are considerably more popular than her though, with an album (and set) full of guest singers. don't think she could quite pull it off on her own with her current back catalogue

Yeah and she's got 2 eps not including the album both of 4 songs each so she's definitely not short on material, her roundhouse tickets sold out fast if i remember correctly so i reckon she's "big enough"

They are, but I wasn't commenting on her size, just the amount of material she had to fill a set. Not sure about WH but I think she could definitely headline Park or JP.

I dunno, she's pretty big with most teens who are into their music and she's getting a lot of exposure from radio 1/radio 6 and publications like nme and pitchfork (which, despite the at times questioable quality of their content) are still pretty popular with a lot of festival goers.

She's definitely not bigger than disclosure, but she's been riding on a lot of "buzz" since her first ep came out and since her album she's gained a lot of new fans. She could headline and draw a good crowd, I think it's just a question of whether she is booked for that kind of slot, would be a shame to see her in the afternoon on the other stage...

I'm not usually the best judge but it does seem like she's pretty big now. I mean Disclosure did seem to be a very big name to headline WH, even if they only had one album. Although that might be because they were booked, then got massive. Not sure, like I said I'm a pretty terrible judge of these things.

nah i still say she's not nearly big enough to headline. i don't think she has the songs yet to hold a headline performance at a festival - think the downbeat-ness of it all would drive a lot of people away to look elsewhere to finish their nights. she'd be a good sub though, on either stage. just agree that she's hopefully not booked for a mid-Other slot or something similar
