he had Amy Winebucket at the Bestival show too ... it was a very bad mistake to have those two girls on one after the other (I forget which way round now), as the contrast in ability couldn't have got any more stark than it was.

Portishead played in 2013, not 2012, so definitely too soon. They are rumoured to headline Latitude.

I've seen both live. My friends have some questionable taste. Both at reading 2013, it was my 1st festival and i was pretty content to be dragged by the girl i fancied and some other mates to any old act. Bastille were worse, so bad, i left halfway through it was just unbearable. The 1975 were pretty corny and shit but they weren't nearly as awful

Edit: I feel like I've just committed "forum suicide" admitting this. Please don't all hate me, I was slightly younger and slightly more naive

Saw 1975 in Fibbers at York before they became R1 regulars. My friend works in the industry and gets free tickets to stuff and i went along. We couldn't get over how much the lead singer played with that ridiculous haircut throughout their set. Must have had his hands on his hair more times than he did his guitar.

I saw The 1975 at T last year and was pleasantly surprised, I wouldn't sit and listen to one of their records but they weren't total guff, as for Bastille, they're a lost cause, total pish

Bastille are the drivell that Mumfords have lead to. Bastille is also a Parisian-fortress but thanks to this new band the poor people who built it have had their work cut out now
