CaledonianGonzo
Yup. Not the only place for them, but by far the most suitable.
Gucci Piggy
I think someone on here has said they're definitely headlining the Park, too. Obviously that could be made up, but it adds a little weight to it.
sloseph
that sounds pretty reasonable, i'm just thinking given how high up they've been on all other lineups they might make it a bit bigger than the Park Edited March 4, 2015 by sloseph

FuzzyDunlop
Alt J headlining the other on the sunday (or not there at all) Chems on the saturday other (or not there at all) Friday... No idea That's the case now due to new tour dates That's the kind of insight I was waiting for!
dentalplan
Chemical Brothers up against Blur on the Saturday night seems kinda odd, doesn't it?

dentalplan
Two big British acts from the same time period, possibly appealing to the same people. Of course they had The Prodigy last time didn't they and I'd have said the same about that so never mind.
RedForman
I see this: Friday: Björk Saturday: The Chemical Brothers Sunday: Alt-J
thewayiam
Two big British acts from the same time period, possibly appealing to the same people. Of course they had The Prodigy last time didn't they and I'd have said the same about that so never mind. For the record, I'd have been well screwed on that decision. Since then, seeing The Prodigy at Glasto is on my list. The only thing in my mind stopping that from happening is the Reading sub slot. If they aren't there, my backup thought is Sunday night Other with Alt-J subbing. Edited March 4, 2015 by thewayiam
Inconspicuous
I haven't really kept too much notice on this recently. Is there anything that would rule The prodigy on Sunday out other than the fact it would be three nights in a row? willutalk
Wouldn't Alt-J be such a boring Other Headliner. I heard that they were dull back in 2013 by my sister.
sisco
Wouldn't Alt-J be such a boring Other Headliner. I heard that they were dull back in 2013 by my sister. Didn't go see there Other set, but they were brilliant in Williams Green on the Thursday
CaledonianGonzo
I caught a bit of their set on the Other and it certainly didn't seem to be setting the field on fire.
Gucci Piggy
When they were playing the FR Stage at Leeds in 2012 I sat between them and Lee Nelson on the alternative stage whilst I ate some chicken. That was an AWFUL combination. Autocorrect capitalised awful in that paragraph; it must know how bad it was.
FloorFiller
Alt-J on Other whilst Taylor is on the Pyramid will do me just fine! Chems vs Blur would be a weird one. yeah a very similar situation happened in '09 with The Prodigy, but i imagine the crossover between Blur and Chems is even bigger (based on absolutely nothing at all). it'd be a shitty clash either way. wonder if Chems could possibly sub the Pyramid - i've said many times i don't see it happening, but Chems subbing Blur? that'd be ace. apart from when Chems headlined have their been any producer/dance acts on the Pyramid without a lead vocalist / front man etc? none spring to mind

FloorFiller
Orbital right you are! twenty years ago, though. seems odd that they haven't repeated it since. Pyramid doesn't really seem like the place for that kind of performance, although i'd love to be proven wrong in this instance. about time Chems stopped being the house Other act
CaledonianGonzo
You could maybe argue Basement Jaxx as well - though obviously they put on a bit of a live show.
The Nal
We must be due another underwhelming Primal Scream set sometime soon? It's been a whole two years since the last one. 05 was one of the greatest sets I've seen at Glastonbury.

zero000
Their Screamadelica set in 2011 in the pissing down rain was brilliant. They were excellent! Whilst U2 absolutely bombed.
WS_Jack_III
2011 looked great but I went off elsewhere after a few songs. I remember not understanding what was going on in 05 (i was 14) he seemed like a total dick at the time. Before the Stones was pretty dull i thought. Saw them at Beautiful Days the same year though and it was bloody fantastic. Edited March 4, 2015 by III
CHRLY
I caught a bit of their set on the Other and it certainly didn't seem to be setting the field on fire. Was planning on watching their whole set as I'm rather fond of that first record, it isn't incredible but it has it's moments. Got so bored I ended up walking off, gave me plenty of time to settle in at West Holts for Seasick Steve + Chic. Never listened to the triangle band since.
