Gazza, I know all that. What I'm saying is Neil hasn't said either of the two bits of information sisco mentioned is stronger than the other. Therefore there's as much to say alt-J are doing it as there is saying they aren't doing it.

I definitely read an article with Alt-J after the 2013 fest in which they said they were lined up for the pyramid but got put on the other because it'd be a 'safer' option for them.

But how is there when clearly saying in reply, they won't be. There must be something fairly decent to say that. I'm feeling The Chem Bros is right, they'd headline other, they can't do Friday and I don't see then up against Kanye.

I'd say the same would go for alt-j I'd never heard a thing from them until I youtubed em as you were all banging on about em.....think people need to realise your average glasto goer doesn't have the encyclopaedic knowledge of music as the efest board member seel to lol

Tbf Alt-J sold out Ally Pally in minutes and then sold out the O2 a couple months later. Unfortunately they're a big deal to a lot of people these days

I saw Modest Mouse at Troxy back in 2010 and I don't think it was sold out; IIRC I got tickets 2nd hand for cheap

Yup, I think they're the Sunday sub personally. Nothing at all why headline is guaranteed.

I've gotten to wondering if The Chemical Brothers might do the Pyramid instead. This suggests they chose the Other Stage over the Pyramid in 2011 so maybe they're subbing Kanye or the Sunday headliner to change things up.

very seriously doubt that the chemical brothers can do anything but headline a stage given it is only dark for the headliners and a large part of any dance music show is the lighting. they will not sub the pyramid that much is certain.

pyramid subs play 8-9pm roughly. it will be daylight still and hardly dark. do you think there's any festival stage they're playing in europe where they are not headlining or at least its dark?

they will headline the other i would put money on it.

Yep this! They rely massively on a visual show, one that won't come across well at sub slot level.
